I had that happen to me from TV guide one time, my reply to them...go ahead and put me on a collections list, I never ordered this so there is nothing to collect... prove it..never heard back from them!

Yikes! Just call the magazine place and b!tch. Also to collections, who should be able to get you the magazine's number! Try using the "lawyer threat", too.

Well don't worry about it, they cannot make you pay for something that you did not order, and even if you did they cannot make you pay! or send to collections...it would cost them an arm and a leg to go through a collection agency...much more $$ than a silly subscription to a magazine that costs hardly nothing! and if it was through SS, please use the form at the bottom of the page where it says contact us, and send them a complaint! let them know so they can fix their boo boo!! goodluck! let us know.

I would call the company. The same thing happened to me with people magazine and I told them where to take it. Just like Carol said- they cannot prove anything. I would not worry about it.

I never signed up for a magazine, but Ebony thought I did and sent me an email statiing I would received my first 2 complimentary issues in Nov. I responded to their email 6 times (and saved them) telling them I never ordered them and don't want them sent to my address. One email would say it was canceled and the next would say that it was on it's way. I finally called the magazine and spoke to a rep. She said that it would not be sent and that it was canceled. Guess what? They sent them anyway. Now if they send anymore or if I'm billed, I have all the documentation to prove that I never ordered it and notified them well in advance that I did not want them sent. Keep your Ps and Qs in order, is my advice.
