Question What movies did you hate?

This is a twist on this topic. Are there any movies that you absolutely HATED? I have 2 of them. The Talented Mr. Ripley, I thought was the worst movie I ever saw UNTIL I saw Mystic River.
I guess I just can't stand a feel-bad movie. That one got good reviews, so I no longer care what the professional "critics" think anymore. I was so upset by Mystic River I posted a negative review at yahoo movies (the first time I posted anything).

Movies that I didn't like? Ummmmmm...never thought of that one.....I didn't like - ahhhhhhhh.......Shoot my mind is drawing a blank...let me continue to think.....

I remember one from way back......City of Angels with Nicholas Cage.....it was too long and drawn out.

I didn't like the Austin Powers movies......yeah, that is just me......I don't have that sense of humor, I guess.

And.....Scary Movie.....I didn't particularly like those either.

Thumbs down

I can't stand any of the HALLOWEEN movies or RING/RING 2.

DUMB AND DUMBER reminds me too much of some students I've had when teaching English at Elm Street High. Could that then be called: NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET?

I agree with Lily - Meet Joe Black was pretty bad...and LONG!

A pet peeve of mine is all the remakes they do of tv shows - Dukes of Hazzard, Starski and Hutch, etc. How about an original idea??

It's interesting to see what everyone's tastes are in movies. I actually like some of the ones that others on here seem to dislike. I liked The Talented Mr. Ripley, Mystic River and all of the Austin Powers moveis (yes, my husband and I like a lot of the mindless, silly movies - LOL).

I agree about The Royal Tennenbaums. I rented it because I thought it was supposed to be such a good movie, and it really has a great cast, but I had to turn it off because it just didn't grab me.

Another one that was supposed to be good that I didn't care for was Punch Drunk Love with Adam Sandler. I like a lot of his movies, and I could take it if he transitioned from funny to serious in an interesting movie, but I thought Punch Drunk Love was just wierd.

Some other movies that I thought were pretty bad are The Day After Tomorrow, Random Hearts and Blade (my husband and I actually walked out of Blade and can't understand why they made so many sequels). My husband and I actually bought Monster House before we saw it because we had heard it was very good, but we really didn't care for it. I like some romantic comedies, but there are more of them that I don't like. I guess I'm just an action/adventure, drama or comedy kind of girl.

I have to confess, a movie that I hated at first, but now I love to watch is Harold & Kumar go to White Castle. I can't explain it - I know it's stupid, but I crack up every time I watch it.

This was many years ago ,but my husband and I were just talking about when we walked out of the theatre during FIVE EASY PIECES ! We thought it was the stupidest movie we had ever seen. Then it won like 5 Academy Awards! So much for our taste in movies!

It seems that I am more and more disappointed in movies. My most recent disappointment was The BReak Up. All the funny parts were shown in the previews. Does anyone remember when movies had meaning and moved a viewer wherether it was to tears from heart felt emotion or true terror from what lies under the bed? It seems once you have seen one you have seen the next three that will be following it in its genre. Dont get me wrong I am not a movie snob, i love love mindless and funny and things that go boom but the past few years in movies has been terrible.

ok im done Lol
