Personal Information alert on Internet

There's a site called spokeo.com that's a new online USA phone book
w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or web,
your approx credit score, home value, income, age. Remove yourself by
searching your name, find the URL of your page COPY , then go to the bottom right corner of the page and click on the Privacy button to remove yourself. ( YOU PASTE IN THE URL that you copied & YOUR EMAIL....THEN CHECK YOUR EMAIL SO YOU CAN CLICK ON THE REMOVAL LINK) The email is immediate.

I found myself on the site 5 times....it will only allow 2 removals per email address so I used a few different email addresses. I did REMOVE me entirely.
Very disturbing as gave age, google map view of my home, home value, my hubby's name & for a couple of bucks....others can find out more!

I know this was brought up before but Snopes did update 1/12/11 of this year about SPOKEO.

I checked out myself, DH, and several family members. Almost all the information was incorrect or outdated. How useful is that to anybody?

wow i had 3 and would only let me delete 2 the other one was an old address and email i had about 12 yrs ago. But dang they said i had property worth 600k I wish I knew where it was cause I would sell it...lol
