Question Ulcers on throat & esophagus any ideas?

I have ulcers on my throat & esophagus. Any ideas on anything that helps to heal them? I have been to the doctor and was given an antibiotic shot and a steroid shot, along with a script for allegra an antibiotic (augmentin, I think). But it still seems so irritated. It hurts to eat and drink. I've tried salty water, but it just burns. If you have any ideas, they would be appreciated.

Kim, that sounds so painful. I wish I knew what to do other than trying Chloraseptic spray...it's for colds, but in this case I would try it. Spray to the back of your throat and it numbs it for a while. The pharmacy may have better ideas. HUGS, I hope it goes away asap.

Thank you both! Carol, I don't know why I didn't think of the chloraseptic. I have a new bottle in the cabinet. I don't know where my mind is sometimes. It is a bit painful, but it is a little better today. Thank goodness the PA treated me as if it were bacterial. She thought it was viral. I now know it was bacterial, the swelling has gone down some. All of this stemmed from allergies. The pollen here is off the charts. I am not going out for a couple of days. Give the meds time to work. Everything on my front porch and deck are yellow. I hate the rain, but a good rain right now is just what the Dr. ordered. LOL Thanks again Carol for reminding me to use chloraseptic.

The burning sensation from the salt water is a good thing.... it means it's doing its job. The make a gargle rinse I think its called byotene (spelling is way off). I used it when i had braces that's for healing and preventing infections.

Kim, we had rain in central Alabama yesterday and it did wash away some of the pollen. Maybe you will get the rain today and it will help your pollen count, too.

I had my car washed on Tuesday, now it is yellow again!!!!!!!!!

Hope you are MUCH better SOON!!!!
