Default Gluten Free Diet

Hi!

Does anyone need to eat a diet free of gluten (usually wheat and barley based food)? I have suffered from severe sinusitis for years due to polyps inflammed by allergies. A friend at work a few months ago suggested I try eating a gluten free diet since I had tried everything short of surgery for two years to no avail. No sense of taste or smell and one sinus infection after another.

I was amazed when 4 days into this kind of eating I was breathing through my nose!! Imagine that. Now, three months later, it's as if I have no polyps and have barely had the sniffles much less a sinus infection. I've also regained my sense of tast and smell again-what a sensation that was!!

So I've learned a lot about eating this way. I'd be happy to share with anyone who's interested.

Shanti

Amy's orgainic line of foods does alot of glutin free products. They are great. You can get them here at food city and if you send them a request they send a ton of coupons. Hope that helps.

Thank you! I'm always looking for new things to try since the diet is so limiting-rice, rice, rice!!!
