clove leaf oil (or I think that is what it is called) I used it when mine hurt really bad when I was prego. I also find that taking 2 Aleve's really works wonders. Orajel and Ambesol extra strength does a little good, but not really that great. Try rinsing your mouth out with peroxide (be sure not to swallow), or you can rinse with warm salt water, it may hurt for a bit but it ultimately will benefit you by taking away some of the swelling (if any) and the pain. You can also put a hot washcloth on the outside of your cheak by where the tooth is, it will draw some of the pain out, but most of the time it is temporary. Hope that helps you out!

Liz is right--oil of cloves works wonders. If you can't find genuine oil of cloves, buy Red Cross toothache drops--they contain a lab made version of oil of cloves that works really well.
