My daughter has her 12 month check up two weeks from today. There are some Lysol products currently on sale at my local grocery store that I was already planning on buying. Now I can get $5 back for doing what I was already going to do!
Thanks a bunch sweety19! |

You seem like you are great at the savings game!! I just recently really started using coupons and find I save at least $10 aweek and hopefully as I get better at this the savings will go up!! Can I be nosey and ask what your average savings is when your done shopping for the week or however often you shop??

Thanks for the compliment! I do love to save! I have been a coupon junkie for several years, but I have no idea how much I actually save. Sometimes I'll have a cart full of groceries and I'll only have $1's worth of coupons and sometimes I'll save $20 or more in coupons. My most recent good deal was at Target when I combined Target coupons with manufacturers coupons and I got $40 worth of diapers for less than $14. That worked out to be about .07 per diaper for size 4s! Just today I bought $14.59 worth of baby food at Target, but I had $10 in coupons, again, combined Target and manufacturers coupons, so I only paid $4.59! It really depends on where I do my shopping too. The only grocery store that I really go to is Publix and I also do a lot of shopping at Target - just a regular Target since we don't have a Super Target. I go over the sales ads each week and see if there is anything that I "need." I'm also a little sneaky about it. Our Publix sales ad comes out every Thursday, but some other areas get it on Wednesday. I look on the Publix website on Wednesdays to check their ad and when it asks for me to select a location I always select a one where the sale starts on Wednesday instead of Thursday. That way I know if an item that I "need" is going to be on sale the following day, then I can just wait to buy it. Is that clear as mud for you? I'm so terrible. When my husband asks me to pick something up from the store for him, I'll tell him that I will get it for him if it's on sale. If it's not on sale, then I'll wait until the following week and if it's still not on sale, then I'll usually cave in and just buy it. Also, I clip the coupons out of the Sunday paper and organize them in a plastic pouch that has different sections in it. I label the sections: freezer, dairy, baby, canned foods, cleaning supplies, personal care, condiments & seasonings, etc. and that way it's much easier to find what I need quickly.
