LOL I do not even know about the "skinny" dinner anymore. The Guiltless Chicken Plate at Chili's has the most salt. YIKES!

SHESH! Maybe this is why no one can loose weight these days! They hide all that bad stuff in the food!

Thanks very much for this list. I have hypertension and avoid salt as much as possible but it's still a daily struggle. I keep hearing the worst thing for you is eating out and this keeps proving true.

You are definitely right. I have noticed that my blood pressure will increase if we eat out a lot. We have cut back A LOT.

Smile eat this..not that!

I just finished reading "Eat This Not That" by David Zinczenko. (he's the editor-in-chief of Men's Health) It's a quick read that will AMAZE you! It shows you simple food swaps to help you lose or maintain your weight. I started reading and couldn't put it down. I couldn't believe how many foods I thought were good for me or a better choice, and they were worse. For example...at McDonald's eat the quarter pounder instead of the premium grilled chicken club. QP has 410 calories, 19 g fat, 730mg sodium. The PCC has 570 calories, 21g fat, and 1,720mg sodium. Can you believe that? This book was well worth $20. I learned a lot of valuable info.

I can't understand why the grilled chicken is worse than the quarter pounder It makes no sense since the chicken is skinless. Did the author explain why the chicken was worse?

The author states "that chicken doesn't always trump beef in the health department, especially when it comes robed in bacon, mayo, and liquid margarine." You're right. The chicken by itself would be less fattening and a better choice... loading all those condiments and extras on is what makes it so bad for you. The QP is not the healthiest choice but a better one. Glad I could help.

Thanks! I would say that I'll stick to the salads but with all the E-coli and Listeria on tomatoes running around maybe it would be better just to bite my nails when I'm hungrey!

Wow.. I was actually looking for this the other day. We went out to eat at Outback Steakhouse and my boyfriend kept telling me that the Bloomin Onion was one of the top worst appetizers to get according to an article online. Of course he still wanted to get it so it was hard to resist having some. At least we steered clear of the Loaded Fries!
