Join us on April 12, 2008, from 4 to 6 p.m. (EST) or choose a date that works well with your scheduleFeel free to co-host with someone if you feel more comfortable Duration:1 1/2 - 2 hours Audience:20 to 30 people, depending on capacity of houseYour role:Hosting the event; providing light food/beverages; inviting guestsFormat:

• Brief “Welcome” by you, as the host (or the local Cancer Project instructor if available) to the attendees of the event
• A sampling of some delicious recipes from The Survivor’s Handbook and/or a short cooking demonstration by a Cancer Project instructor.
• An inspirational story from a survivor (The Cancer Project can help you with this)
• For those participating in the April 12 event only, a conference call hosted by Dr. Neal Barnard and The Cancer Project’s managing director, Lauray MacElhern. A speaker phone will be needed. Lauray will be making the appeal for funding. All you need to do is distribute donor cards and envelopes!

The Cancer Project will provide printed materials, and a beautiful set of recipe cards for each of your guests to take home.
