Default I am Legend

I had never heard of this movie, but my son wanted to see it, so we went and saw it at the dollar movies.

Wow! Will Smith is a really good actor! It was a very depressing movie though, so don't go see it if you're sad. But, it was very, very good. I would actually like to see it again. From IMDB:

Robert Neville is a scientist who was unable to stop the spread of the terrible virus that was incurable and man-made. Immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and perhaps the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.

I saw this and I agree, Will Smith was superb! I liked that it didnte have the cookie cutter everything goes well ebding, it was "realistic". I saw it twice.

Yep - hubby and I watched it last night before bed - I thought they did a good job, but would have liked the ending to be resolved a little more completely.

Will Smith was great!

I don't blame you - I thought they could have done that differently.

Yeah, the dog scene was depressing. My son and I both cried.

I believe they did that to show what a caring and compassionate man he was. However! I would've preferred they'd done it differently as well.

I really want to see it though, but my mom called to inform me about the dog...I thought I would pass.

I do think they almost needed it, to show how reliant he was on actual companionship. While I didn't like it, and looked at my husband saying "How COULD they!!!", it really was appropriate in that it helped the story line.

Still sad about it though. Boy did it give Will Smith a chance to shine - you could really see the emotions crossing his face as he realized what was happening.

Just watched this tonight- I liked it but did think they could've added more to it. It just seemed to end....I was like " thats it?" Very enjoyable movie!
