Nope no girls name... or girls clothes. I do have several neutral outfits though. If it's a girl it'll probably be Elizabeth that was the other possibility with Natileigh. We'll get there. I actually like Bodie if we can come up with a middle name. Who knows?

I'm so ready to get him here. I've had a lot of ligament pain and scar tissue pain. Then there's the pelvic pain from the way he's laying. And i'm on my 5th sinus infection of the pregnacy!! I can't wait to be normal again! But I'll get there.

Joe has a cousin that's due the same time as me, she's now on bedrest. SO I really don't have anything to complain about. I can at least move about and go somewhere. The doctors are only expecting her to last another 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. She's takng massive amounts of steriods for the baby and meds to relax her uterus. So nope I have no reason to complain!!

You have such a good attitude Amanda! You have had more than your share lately. Hope you are all feeling better. Would you believe my Dad nicknamed me Bodie? He was the only one that called me that. Wish his vocabulary consisted of more than 2 words. I'd love to hear him call me that again.

Kim is right! You have had a great attitude and you have had more ups and downs during this pregnancy! Maybe that means baby will be able to deal with stress well!

I agree with Carol too. I LOVE my 10yo but from time to time I so miss those precious baby days! There is nothing like a sweet-smelling, precious little one. I still smile when I see the baby arm hug....you know, when they are sitting on mom's or dad's hips with their arm hooked around their parent's arm. It is so darling!

I don't know a first name Bodie but one of my good friends from school married a guy whose last name was Bodie!

Those of you who are fb friends know that Bryson is down and out again. Swollen throat, a few puss spots, high fever, swollen lymph nodes, his ears are still inflamed from 2 weeks ago and he just feels very icky. Same thing we've been dealing with for almost 7 months. I took him into the schools clinic today just to see if he needed more antibotics or IF it might be strep. Negative for flu, mono and strep once again. They are doing a 48 hour strep culture to make sure. I was going on over his entire history with her, from the crazy fevers at 6 months old that no one ever figured out and that kept reoccuring to the latest crazy throat infections. FINALLY someone listened to me and agreed that I wasn't crazy that something else is going on with him that's unrelated to his throat or at least not related to tonsillitis.

So monday he has a full blood work up, something that no one has done before. I'd even asked for one at the peds dr and was told it was unnecessary. She seems to think that he may have a antibotic resistant staph infection that is periodically making him a mess. She's also testing for auto immune problems, an over active immune system, cancer markers, thryoid problems, toxins and anything that looks abnormal. Some of these things are a mom's worse nightmare but at least we're finally getting out of the "it's just a viral infection" or "since his white blood cell count is up we're putting him on antibotics, even though we don't know what's wrong". She checked all his lymph nodes today to rule out a lympathitc problem, she also warned me that it still could be in him lympathatic system, but we know from the head down that all his lymph nodes feel normal.

Based on his blood work, she's going to refer us to speciali$t. Or if it's staph we'll try some super strong antibotics for an extended period of time. If that don't work a better ENT to look at the problem and decide if removing his tonsils would help.

So if ya'll don't care keep your fingers crossed and send up a prayer for him. Bless his heart, I just want to cry with him but I'm trying to stay grounded and up beat for him. I'm just glad to finally be getting somewhere.

Oh my Amanda! Poor Bryson! I hope they figure out why he has recurring fever and throat issues. Glad someone is finally listening to you! Some doctors just don't listen at all. They just want you out of the room in 10-15 minutes so they can see the next patient. And get the next co-pay. Poor thing, I hope he is feeling better soon!

Amanda, I am so glad this doctor finally listened to you and is going to do something the others have not done! I swear some doctors just pass the buck and DO NOT listen! Just write another prescription and out you go.
I will keep you all in my prayers, and for a speedy recovery for Bryson and a simple solution to this mystery of why he is getting sick all the time. {{{Hugs}}}

Praying that the doctors find out what is really going on with Bryson, and that there's a good cure out there once they know what's wrong.

Thanks everyone!! I'm just hoping that we can get the blood for the bloodwork Joe's aunt Rita, Riri to the kids, will be doing it and I hope that calms Bryson down enough to get it done. It took 2 of us to hold him for the strep swab.

Carol, it was actually the school nurse who's willing to do all this. I had called his pediatrician yesterday and asked who was on call to see the sick and it was the doctor that I can't stand, who has told me numerous times it just "viral." I told the nurse making the appointments I'd take him in to the school clinic instead of seeing him. They didn't like that. But considering the outcome I think I made the right choice.

Bryson's fever hit 104.6 last night about 8:45 and it took me almost an hour just to get it down to 103.9, and this was with mortin and tylenol in his system. He's starting to hate taking a bath with a fever. But once we got it down he slept most of the night. I woke him up at 1 for more meds and let him sleep straight through until this morning. He woke up with 102.3, so that's much better, for now. He's playing right now, so i know he's feeling a little better at the moment. I have a round of antibotics if we really need them, but we're trying to hold off until after his blood work so that we get a good picture of what's going on.

I'm ready for a nap and a vacation! LOL and a nice tall pinacolada. It will be a while on that one. I just don't think that a virgin pina colada would have quite the relaxing effect that I'm looking for. Bad part is I normally don't drink unless I'm sick (and then it's moonshine), but I think I could handle one about now. Maybe once the baby gets here.... probably wishful thinking.
