I thought we could use a thread to just mention things that happen to us during our day, thoughts we had, tidbits, and whatnot. Sometimes you think of something or something happens during your day and you want to tell everyone, then you think, "Well, I don't want to make a whole thread for this one thing. It's not that big a deal." Now we have a place to share the little "notions" in our lives.

My life has been boring lately, LOL! I know my grandma's funeral was last week, and that was sad. But! When my brother and sister were here, we had a blast! That kinda made this week a letdown. Know what I mean?

Good news! My hubby worked today after not working for more than a month! He's also working on Monday. Yay!

I was sitting in the doctors office today and had a really interesting conversation with a farmer/veteran. We talked about WW II, Vietnam, Prince Harry, fried foods, Empires and Dynasties, the economy, and foreign policy. It was pretty cool.

That's awesome! Isn't it amazing how some people are great to talk to, but others are boring as heck? LOL!

When my brother and sister were here, we went out to eat six times, and we went to the casino. Sis and I spent most of the night sitting in the bar and having a drink though, LOL! Hey, it was nice to be able to talk!

I finally had some quite time tonight driving to walmart,left the kiddos with Dad and went shopping!!Enjoyed the 1hr alone!!

I got my van today!! I love it! Man there is so much more room in there than in a car! So we went out shopping and running around to check out our new ride. My hubby did not want a mini van at first, but I told him I was driving it and that is what I wanted! So I guess when we put our foot down, then thats when we get what we want!!

yesterday here in S.E. MI we had anotherrrrr snow storm. seems like when it snows i get the urge to bake...not that i need an excuse. i had bought some rhubarb at the grocery store but the recipe i bought it for wanted 5 cups. ha! at the price of $3.50 pr pound no way. so off i went searching on the web for a rhubarb bread. the ones i found all asked for buttermilk. yikes! i was NOT going out in that blizzard for that. so then i read on one recipe to make a substitute 1 TBL vinegar into milk let stand 10 min. after searching i also found out it could be done w/skim milk (all i had) & either lemon juice or white vinegar. they came out wonderful! & i learned something new!

Had DA's stress test today. They had to stop the test! He has to go to the dr. Mon and get a cholesterol test so they can see what blood pressure meds to put him on. His blood pressure was 217/80! He is going to be off work for a little bit, too, until they can get that down a lot!

During the test, I was in the waiting room with a whole family, so I just adopted myself right in! The dad, who is 91, was the patient. He was really sweet, but they said he'd been a grumpy f@rt all morning! lol The SIL was a truck driver from TX who knew sort of where my sister's town is down there. I made coffee at the nurse's kitchenette type room, 'cause the nurse in there at the time wasn't sure how much coffee to put in.

We met w/the in-laws at a greasy spoon place in Keokuk, 'cause they wanted the details on the test and all. Is everyone sitting down??? When we left, my MIL hugged me.

Is DH he on BP Meds now? I don't undestand why he needs a Cholestrol test to determine what BP meds he needs? maybe he has problems with both of them? and needs a test to see what his Cholestrol is up or down to, anyways now your going to be home with him Oh girl, I am sending out huge hugs and wishes for him to go back to work asap.............
