They cysts finally went away, but my DR told me I have PCOS. Just another bump in the road, I guess. Albert and I really want to have kids and I feel like it will never happen.
Thanks for asking.

Brandy don't let the diagnosis of PCOS freak you out. In order to get pregnant with Bryson we tried for 4 years. We did have a miscarriage during that time, but it was that miscarriage that led to the discovery of PCOS. Once we figured that out it was clomid (to help regulate my cycle), prometrium (my body doesn't make the hormone progestrone and that the synthetic version of it) and metformin to keep my blood sugars stable. With in 6 months we were pregnant. Then I was told I'd never have another kid without at least being on prometrium, that it was impossible..... well now we have Natileigh and this baby. So much for being almost completely infertile.
My advice have your thryoid levels, hormone levels and A1C checked. To really check your hormone levels it's a process and a half. In the course of a month I had blood drawn 6 times, I think. At different times in my cycle. Good luck. It will happen. Be patient and try not to stess... impossible I know. If ya have questions that I can answer send them my way, I'll try to answer them.

Amanda, everything that you describe, is exactly what happened with my daughter. It is amazing! She is now finally expecting her second baby after nearly four years of going through the same issues as you. (Even the diabetes, and blodd sugar issues)
Brandy, do not get discouraged. Amanda is right, it will happen for you too. It totally amazes me what medicine can now do. |

I agree, and prayer, too! We finally got pregnant after trying for years. However, my issue was endometriosis (don't know if that has anything to do with PCOS). But, we have the boy who is a joy and a delight to our hearts. My gyn. asks every year how our miracle "baby" is! Praying for blessing for you and Albert!
