Linda I'm so sorry to be reading this. I've been thinking about you in my absense from SS. Know that I'm sending prayers up for you and your family in this difficult time. I'm glad that your dad got to live a long life with his family, that truly is a blessing and that he's found peace.

thank you sooo much for the card.........it meant a lot to me....
I have my good & bad days...........just made up some nice little photo books....about 20 pics of him to give to my mom, son & brother........

Every night I go outside & look for a star from him............today it really clouded over so figured there wouldn't be a star...........but right before dusk...it rained and a rainbow appeared.............I know it was from him...

It was from him I am sure. Believe in the small signs that you get. They are real!

Well, life is settling down..........my brother & I had a lot of stuff to get done w/my dad's finances(he had cds, accounts,etc all over the place,8 different banks), social security, the military(he was retired airforce) & the post office (and he was retired post office).
Now we are dealing w/medical bills..........ambulance charges, etc. that medicare & hospice are discussing.........well, it will all get sorted out...

Mom is doing better...still dealing w/the dementia...........but it is only slight...I know it will probably continue to progress. So my bro & I take turns taking her out on Saturdays.........but last Saturday, we all three went out to Red Robin (one of her favs). It went okay except for her obsessing over her supposedably dirty glass....HA HA

Thank you.............& thanks everyone for the support, hugs, encouraging words as I journeyed through this..............now, I am reinventing my life with my Dad gone...........yes, I have the memories & feel his love but there are still days......the memories don't help because it reminds you that there won't be anymore to make..........
