Thanks for your input; I appreciate it! I'm not sure where my mom got it, but after she installed it, they had an offer to get five years for $59.95. I told my mom to let me ask some of my board members about it before she spent the money. Thanks again!

Go ahead & tell her to get it, but make sure she keeps the order number because they try to get you to buy another five years just when your first year starts to run out. They tell you your time is running out, when you know you still will have 4 more years. Other than that, I've got no complaints except a poor extention cord to the USB. I think I paid $89.00 for the full five years when I first signed on. But,that included the hardware.
My friends still don't believe my landline only cost that for 5 years, but it does. Only other thing is that if someone local wants to call, they get to pay long distance charges, because I got a prefix that is listed about 90 miles from where I'm actually at. (But, it cuts down on people calling me, "just to talk"! LOL actually, I hate talking on the phone!) Oh, you can't accept collect calls either, so none of my drunk friends ever call me to bail them out of the drunk tank!

I have the magic jack for 2 years already.it's great.

The only thing is that the computer has to be on 24/7...in you turn off the PC..Your telephone is also off.

Another great thing is that if you travel with your laptop you can hook it up and instead of using the Hotel telephone..You can use your Magic jack..

if you don't get the 5 years or 2 years deal..it's 19.99 for a year.
