can someone please settle this question for me
is a crockpot the same as a slow cooker?
or are they different and if so in which way?

They are the same, but "Crock Pot" would say otherwise. "Crock Pot" is a brand of slow cooker. Either way....it works the same. :D

I may be wrong but this is how I think it works. With most crock pots I see today, they have an insert that can be removed and cleaned. Slow cookers, do not. Either way, they cook the same. ;)

I do not think they do,Wanda I use mine ALOT and have noticed an increase in the electric bill

OH THANKS !! I BOUGHT ONE AND HAVE USE IT ONLY TWICE ! LOL ONLY FOR 2 REASONS....THERE'S NOT A LOT OF FOOD VARIETY AT WALMART (THAT I'M AWARE OF) AND CAUSE OF THE ELECTRICITY BUT I'LL USE IT MORE OFTEN, SPECIALLY CAUSE I HATE TO COOK !

Actually a crock pot/slow cooker use very little electic, they are both low voltage appliances, your hair dryer is an electic guzzler, lol

Thanks, Carol I didnt ever notice them using alot of electricity,but the hair dryer,YES they are terrible on the light bill

Yeah, those and electric heaters, not to mention that rates have increased, atleast out here they have. (what else is new) lol

are rates have increased as well, everything goes up but they pay checks:rolleyes:
