I actually contacted the Crownies Splendid Delights months ago because I requested the sampel 3 times and never received anything. They denied even having a link for samples. Ha, it was on their own website.:eek:

I actually received it and was very shocked as well. It took 4 months and came in a hand addressed envelope. They really don't deserve to be called a bad freebie, but they definitely don't deserve to be bombarded with sample requests from thousands of people looking for a freebie in another country. They are not like some of the cosmetic companies that have locations worldwide. Maybe some will see this and sign up and that's ok, but I have a feeling that they would stop doing it entirely if they got inundated by requests. Since they were nice enough to send it anyway, let's just spare them the headache;)

I get stuff from them about once every 6 weeks. The "book" that you receive isn't really a book, it is more of an idea pamphlet. It had maybe a dozen total pages. But, it does come. At least I received it. Anyone else?

he Jarrow sample does come. I received mine yesterday! 2 samples but mine looked like it had been crushed because one of the samples was completely destroyed and the envelope was tired looking.

This is something that you would probably want to email the company and tell them. It isn't that they do not arrive. It's probably because of cost that they do not send out vials of perfume anymore....they have found a cheaper cost effective way to let you "smell" the fragrance, that and they now have to declare they are sending a liquid through the mail......

I have gotten nothing but alot of spam from them, daily atleast 3-4 emails...there is no link here, if you want that you will have to get through your email they sent you.

I give these to my 13 yr old DD to put in her purse... on days after PE class or when deodorant just aint cutting it I tell her to pull one of these out and use them. I keep a few in my desk at work for those not so fresh days myself. :o

I personally would not do it. I have never seen anyone get a sample from them. I have also gotten tons of emails and they are not the normal emails that you would get. There is no legitimate company that I have dealt with that will send you 4 and 5 emails within a few hours time.

There were two samples of the Liquid Aminos
All Purpose Seasoning and lots of info about it's
products. The seasoning didn't seem all that
appealing, so I didn't bother to try it (made

They still owe me the "I Don't Bite" tag from April, The "Cat's Meow" T-shirt from May (even after they responded to an E-mail and confirmed that I would be receiving it), the free travel bowl from June, the water bottle from late June, the anklet from July, the "Wet Your Whiskers" T-shirt from late July, or the free personalized pet tag from August. And they stopped responding to my inquiries months ago. Scam, scam, scam!

P.S. I think people are getting their wine charm offers confused. The Danzante wine charms do come, but the Kumala wine charm offer is a waste of time.

Also, I think Petstyle needs to stay on the list. I wonder how in the world they pick and choose who to send the stuff to??? Some people get it and some don't:confused: I haven't tried.

The TeenFX offer (http://www.teenfx.com/hs_registration.cfm?src=2) for Head & Shoulders might have been valid several years ago, but the web site has clearly been abandoned. I signed up for that one in April and never received it.

There are other H&S offers that are legit, but this one belongs on the list. :)

Why don't these companies have an access code for those "professionals" to use when signing up:confused:
I say it's just another way to not "pay out" :(

Which implies that it's intended for a certain business segment. What "clients" did everyone think they were referring to?

They could have been a bit more clear about the restrictions, though.

OK-Well there is a "what freebies did you get in the mail today" thread where you can post all the freebies that you get. You can also post that you received it in the actual thread for the item(if it is still open-many times they are not, as you found)

I will make note of this on the post. This is exactly the place to post something you received that is on the bad freebies list. Sometimes I still have to leave them on there because so many did not receive it, but I do make note. If many start receiving it, I will remove it!

This is also the place to post freebies that you haven't received that are not yet on the bad freebies list. Just make sure it is something we have posted here, or if it isn't something that has been posted here, please include the link and as much info as possible

The "have you received this" thread will be only for the things I list in the original post. I will take suggestions from members that are posted here though. I can use all the help that I can get. One person alone definitely cannot use only their own info to determine which freebies are not good!

Maybe you will still get the oil. One thing I have noticed in the past is that when you sign up for a sample, you are then on their mailing list. Quite a few times, I have gotten literature/catalogs/e-newsletters before I get the actual sample. Let's hope it is still going to arrive;)

I think some of these companies miss the point of issuing samples - its to get people interested in your product. So the MORE samples they send out, the better for them in the long run. duh.

I signed up for the Chamonix free sample too. Actually I emailed them also and their response was "they were sorry but they had a large demand and they will send future offers soon." The only things they've sent me since is "buy this and get (some small amount) off or that I could get some (puney) gift." It's only my oppinion but I have no faith or trust in their company!

Thanks Lynne :) I enjoy trying to keep the bad freebies out of here and giving people a list to refer to. I'm thankful to all those that use it and appreciate having it for a reference. Also, I'm grateful to all of you who help me compile this by posting replies in my threads. I wouldn't be able to do it without all of the feedback that I get. The only bummer is letting people know that they've posted a bad one. It sucks to always be the party pooper on a new potential freebie:(

Most of you received the same email regarding the Senseo Tea Pod sample. It is not that the offer wasn't valid because it is. It is because the post contained a wrong coupon code. You need to find the correct code. I don't think Senseo should be put on the "Bad Freebie" list.

Do you have the correct code?
I posted that it was the wrong coupon code. Just because a company is on there doesn't mean that they are a bad company. Sometimes it is because a promotion is over, or something like that. I always put the reason. Hopefully, it will save Senseo from getting a lot of bad requests or angry emails. I don't think the code was wrong-I think that it was meant for one individual person, although I am not sure.
An example would be that Joico promotion that travelled around all the sites. It ended by a certain date, but they continued to get requests and emails(including from me). Hopefully some of these companies will stop getting deluged with requests that are not valid. My thinking is that helping to stop this might keep them from stopping their offers altogether.:)

There is a Joico link on the bad freebies list. Def doesn't mean every Joico offer is bad. I always put the link, so you can compare- and I try to put a reason. Without looking back, I believe that the Joico offer was old, but the link still kept circulating. I even communicated with the company on this one.

So for this bad freebie list, what I'm basically saying when I post a bad freebie, is that this is not a good offer with this link.
I've also only been putting bad feebies on the list that have actually been posted on this forum. This is how I feel that I can keep this list the best and most accurate. I basically order everything to find out first hand what comes and what doesn't. I start my list from the items I don't receive. Then I further confirm by asking about each item on the "Have You Received This?" thread. This way I feel like I am doing all I can to maintain the integrity of this list.
I do still like having info like what you posted. That would be even further confirmation for me if someone posts it here.
And lastly, there are some freebies that I receive that many others don't. This is a good place for members to post about freebies they haven't received. If I see a trend, then I do further investigation. I still consider it a bad freebie if a lot of people didn't receive it, even if I did. I also consider it a bad freebie if you have to finally contact the company to get the item sent, like sending an email after waiting for months.
I hope everyone can understand how/why I'm doing things in the manner that I am. I also hope that it gives you information that you feel like you can really trust. That is my goal.:)

The oven rack puller/pusher tool that was promised along with a coupon turned out to be a coupon only. I got this post on your forum and I sure doubt I'll even bother with the coupon now. I choose not to patronize companies that do not keep their promises. I will just dump the coupon into the trading bin we have at church.

I would contact them. I was totally surprised by them when I received it in less than 72 hours from ordering:eek: It takes more than one strike for me to give up on a company. Any number of things could have happened to it, which may have not even been their fault!!

I have actually seen posts from the site owner on crafting sites--he advertises the paint there. It could be that mine was lost in the mail, but I don't know. It's not worth losing 60 cents over.

Babytobee did arrive. You have to go through a verification call for them to send out the free stuff. This shows up as AGN networks when they call, so you can be on the look out. If you didn't get a call, that's probably why you didn't get the free stuff. You usually get a call with in 2 weeks of signing up. You do get to listen to other offers they have available (most of which are free!). Once you go through the call they send the freebies for an entire year. Free magazine subscriptions, TONS of coupons, LOTS of samples. Hope my experience helps with the confusion.

Don't get me wrong... - we love these products!
