I love looking for free stuff, picked up a lot of great items. But how do we know which offers are just scams. Does anyone know the offers to stay away from? Thanks guys, new to all this!

The moderators and more seasoned members could answer this better for you. For me it is hit and miss. I sometimes look up offers on other forums and read their feedback to see what is ok or not. I have posted bogus offers here myself!!. Sometimes, the site itself sounds fishy....or way too good to be true. Google the site. Check out some of the threads here and Welcome to Start Sampling.

Hi Billy12, welcome to the SS forums, hope you are getting your fill of samples, freebies, and info......as far as scams, sometimes it is hit or miss, we try hard to check the sites, some are bogus.... some of the members who also belong to other forums know if an item is legit or if it is a dud....and if it looks to good to be true, it probably is just that....

I never know for sure if they are good (unless of course it's a really reputable company site) until someone posts on here that their sample arrived!

If you check the what did you get in the mail thread, you can feel safe that those samples were good offers!

If you go to a website and it looks fake, then it probably is.

Never go for those send me your e-mail scam to receive a free product. There are A LOT of those out there.

You might want to set up an email just for the iffy offers. If they're in a reputable website like WalMart or P&G etc. you know they're OK but some you just can't tell. In that case it pays to use something like a gmail or yahoo disposable account that you can just get rid of when the spam gets heavy.
