I worked at Target for 5 years, (on P & P), and everyone always worked the day after. I was so jealous of all those shoppers out there. Now that I have it off, there is no way I am going our into that mad rush...staying home with my leftovers :)

lol, you know i dont know if i would ever go out. I am the team leader in electronics and of course it is the busiest place. I like standing at the counter and watching people literally RUNNING to get their goodies
i enjoy it. its the only time of the year that we actually have enough people on staff haha

Now, if we get them, we have to hold them until the sunday ad comes out that it is advertised. (it is advertised this week) we had 50 sunday morning but they were gone by noon.
(THANK GOOD NESS I DIDNT WORK )

I did that one year, I thought gee, I will get up, be there at 5 when they open (Target) I live on top of a mountain, and there was snow on the ground, I drove down the mountain in the dark, careful of the snow, didn't have a 4 wheel drive car back then.....got there with 10,000 of my closest friends all waiting to get in the door at the same time.....I did get what I wanted and got out asap...it was crazy.....never again!

I usually go shopping, but the manager at the mall asked me to open the store (Bath and Body Works) on Black Friday.
I really do love working on this day! Plus as an employee you can take advantage of GREAT deals.:D

Congratulations on your new baby grandson!
We went to our little mall last year on black friday around 11:30 am, it was no big deal, I've seen more people on a Saturday afternoon.
I really prefer to shop online anymore, but I hate paying the shipping. I try to get out early in the morning by myself and get a few things and then get back home and buy online the items I wanted but they didn't have the right size.

Congratulations, Mae!
My sister wants to go, so I will be going along for the ride. I love to shop, but I hate the madhouse that Black Friday has become. I'd rather stay home with the leftovers too!

After reading the posts so far, looks like I am the only one that will be out shopping next Friday morning. It's a tradition that I did every year with my sisters. Over the years it dwindled down to just my daughter & I. Now this year it will just be me. I sit Thursday night and write a list of the stores I will visit and in the time order according to the bargains. In the long run it does save me money & I enjoy the challenge of racing to the bargains!!!!!

Jen, I said I will be going. Not particularly looking forward to it, but I am going. :) I will enjoy the time with my sister though. We don't get to spend enough time together.

Alright, I do have another brave one out there shopping next Friday! The best part is that you'll be sharing the adventure with your sister. :)

I'm doing one of the shadow shopper type things that day. Restocking toys for six hours. Gives me a bit of leg room though to maybe shop a bit!

Thanks Everyone for the Congrats!!! Baby was having some problems breathing due to swallowing amniotic fluid. (Like father, like son, our son did the same thing when he was born.) He is in NICU.
Hopefully he will be out of NICU tomorrow and be able to go home over the weekend. I'll pass on your congrats to our son and D-I-L. :D
