I don't remember exactly when I received my sample. I also choose the Maya Chai sample and made it this morning. Its awfully bitter. I don't think I'd purchase the product.

I am wondering if they changed up the directions on how to make the Chai version because mine had a sticker with different directions than what was originally under it on the actual package. It says to pour the envelope in a filter and add 6 cups of water and brew it in a regular coffeemaker (though there are different ways to make it like French Press, espresso machine and iced) and then add 1/4 to 1/2 cup hot milk depending on your desired spice level and sweeten if desired. Hmmm, I will give it a try and report back! :)

I received the sample (actually I got two flavors). I tried the mint/mocha one and it was tasty. I did add some sweet 'n low and this reduced the bitter taste. I only used about 1/2 package for four cups. The instructions say the package makes 6 cups. It was still a bit strong. I probably will not buy it but it was nice to give it a try for free!

I received the Maya Chai sometime back. I was so excited to try it because I love hot tea and coffee. But sad to say, it was all I could do to get this to go down. I couldn't drink it because it was so bitter and strong. Nice that they offered freebies though.

Teeccino is a caffeine free coffee alternative. I got a sample a while back of the Vanilla nut. Personally, I think this is the best flavor. The Maya flavors are meant to be stronger. So if you are used to regular coffee stick to the regular flavors. I would suggest the Vanilla Nut or Almond Amaretto. If you do decide to buy this product Amazon.com has the lowest prices. If you want to try the other flavors order the sample pack on the Teeccino site for $10, they don't charge shipping or tax so it's cheaper than anywhere else. It's good stuff if your looking to lay off the caffeine. Plus, it's good for you rich in vitamins and minerals and gives you natural energy. The tape you were all questioning is about caffeine sensitivity and weight loss. I'm not trying to sell you on Teeccino, I'm just a really big fan. Hope this helps.
