I just saw on another site, www.iwon.com that Pinecone is allowing sign ups again...it comes up on the top banner, you may have to refresh the page alot to get it, but it is there today..Nov.11.
sorry about the link not working!

Thanks, Carol. But, I can't get anywhere with it. At iwon, the banner ad is not coming up, and when I click on the sign-up link, I get Pinecone's homepage, not a sign-up form. Thanks anyway!

Try not to take it so personally, Eric. No one here purposely picks on you. To be honest, I don't even know what the heck you're talking about!

I posted a link to Pine Cone and it was taken off right away and I got those childish letters saying not to do it and bla bla bla
Like I said some people get away with things
Ill be reporting this to the Start Sampling People and hopefully well have new moderators who dont favor some people over others

I found out why your link was deleted. It's because your link was a referral link. Referral links are not allowed on SS.
Once again, if your posts are deleted, there's a reason why. It's nothing personal, and it's not because we think you have cooties or anything. :D

It upsets me when someone gets frustrated with the moderators here. They are wonderful! I have gotten a little irritated at times with some of my posts getting deleted...LOL...but I understand the reasons. I think that some people just want to argue over anything. Thanks Mods for volunteering your time in making this a wonderful forum!!

Thanks!
Honestly, we are not perfect, and I'm sure we sometimes delete stuff that may be okay. But, we do our best, and it really is nothing personal. We look at the links, not at who posts it. If we delete something, and you think it shouldn't be deleted, please feel free to talk to us about it. :)

I just went in and read all the rules at Pinecone, there is no mention of any of the concerns posted here....it just says they (Pinecone) will not tell you where they post banners.....but nothing about telling anyone where they saw a banner..

I was checking my TOS and it just says do not discuss a product, maufacturer and things like that with anyone else because of termination of account and possible legal action. I did not see anything about letting people know where the banner was. ok cool beans.

I just received the following email from Pinecone Research....If you are interested PM me and I will send you the link for signing up...goodluck!
Dear Panelist,
PineCone Research is ready to expand and we need your help.
We have immediate openings for MALE CONSUMERS 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
Do you know of households that meet this description that would like to join the PineCone Research Panel? If so, please FORWARD A COPY of this e-mail to each household you would like to refer so that they may click on the registration link shown below. That household should complete the registration form themselves and submit it. REMEMBER THAT ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD MAY REGISTER. Multiple registrations of the same household or individual will void all registrations.

O-kay, so I registered for Pinecone and they sent me an e-mail saying that they needed to ask a few more questions to finish my registration. I did that and then it said thank you and they will put me into the queue. Does that mean they approved my registration or "thanks, but no thanks"???

I'm pretty sure it means you are approved and you are in line for the next survey that you qualify for. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I think it means you will be put at the back of the list of people waiting for surveys to make money!!! It is not a bad thing......a queue....it't like when I get online help from aol........they say I am like "10 in queue" and then it will count down until it is my turn! Good Luck on your Pinecone!!

Pinecone has surveys and product trials. But with Pinecone you do not tell anyone about the product. They should send an email with all the rules.

Don't feel bad, I've been trying to become a member of Pinecone for years, and can't get in. I just signed up again, but no acceptance e-mail. In the past, I've said I give up. This time I mean it.
Besides, since they are looking for men, my hubby just signed up and got accepted. He's already started getting surveys. The really ridiculous thing is, they are surveys geared towards the female member of the household, so what the heck? Do they even know what they're doing?

I also got an email welcoming me to the panel. I was trying desperatly to remember my member name and login but nothing was working. I was relieved to read their FAQ and near the bottom it says you don't have to worry about remembering this because it's (your membername and password)are emailed out each time they send you an assignment. I'm so happy to be a part of this! Said I'll get my first assignment in a couple of weeks.

Hi kittyfang, I moved your post over here to the Pinecone thread...the reason for the fuss....Pinecone does not accept members often, so when they post a banner on different web sites that is the only time you can sign up, other than them emailing there members to let them know they are looking for a particular age or if they want females or males.

Some people only get 3 dollars. I have heard depends on what type of banner you signed up for. Anyway, my friends and I only get 3. Oh well, they are still a good company.
