Septic Tank Problems!!!!

I have problems with my septic tank that makes it back up into my bathroom from under the toilet and through the tub. We almost daily have problems with the water running out from around the bottom of the toilet onto the floor and usually weekly coming up through the tub. It is a BIG pain because it seems just when I get it mopped up it happens again. We just recently put new pipes outside leading away from the house but are still having problems. I don't have to money to get it fixed properly right now and was just wondering if someone might know what the problem could be and how to fix it inexpensively.

****There is a wax ring under the toilet but it's still leaking. I also tried to put caulk around the toilet but couldn't get the back of it which is where I think it's mostly leaking.

I see where you talked about a wax ring under the commode...did u just put a new wax one in? That was our problem once that we had to replace one that was only a couple years old. We also had a backup once and finally just had to get the tank pumped. What a site that was to see! :eek: When the tank was pumped a few months ago that ended the problem totally. Good Luck! My mom and dad said that once their septic tank would back up all the time and come to find out I was flushing toys down the potty. Mom said she bet they got it pumped 10 times when I was little. I mean tons of toys I would flush. Hehe

If you have recently had your septic tank pumped and are still having problems with it backing up into the house you might need a new seepage pit. We had to have one put in about 5 years ago.

If not a new pit, then you might have a clog in the main line and need to have it cleaned out. This sometimes happens when one end of the pipe sits higher than the other end. The pipe from your house to the septic tank needs to be slanted downward.
