My youngest is 9, so I am so out of the loop. What are good presents for a 2 1/2 yr old boy. His mom said he'd probably like extreme tickle me Elmo. Anyone have a clue??

At that age, both of my boys loved the tonka dump truck they had....we had to buy a second one so they could each have their own. It was $25 at wal-mart. They still play with them all the time so it was money well spent.

Oh!Yay! That was one of my fave's too! Grew up in a neighborhood full of boys!

My son is 3 and he likes playdoh...also a chalkboard is a great thing to have!

The larger legos are great to start with at this age and will keep them busy for several years.....

I just bought my granddaughter who is almost 3 Hokey Pokey Elmo. Much more fun than the extreme tickle Elmo (but the laugh is so contagious!) She and my grandson who is almost 2, were dancing and twirling all around the family room. Trucks, Little People and Weebles are great for 2 1/2 year olds.

When my oldest boy was 2, he chucked a weeble at the back of my hubby's head. Man, those things are deadly! :eek: (I almost died laughing!!)

my son is 3 and anything with thomas the tank engine, spiderman, or flashing lights and annoying sounds brings a huge smile to his face, even his new "smirman" toothbrush (spiderman)
