Hi everyone!
Wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I tend to always use a nail hardener / strengthener as otherwise my nails are very weak.
Anyway, for some time now, my nails have had a yellow colour to them - more towards the top than the bottom. Could this be from the hardener I use as I've heard that nail polish can stain nails, could nail hardener do the same?
Or is there anything else it could be?

Hmm...don't know what could be causing the yellowing. If you always use a hardener, though, maybe you need to leave your nails bare sometimes to breathe!
I've heard that you can use denture cleaning tablets to whiten them up. I've never tried it because mine stay pretty white, but maybe it's worth a try. I can't see using that stuff on your nails all the time, though, because it might weaken them. Another thing to try would be lemon juice in water, or hydrogen peroxide in water.
Good luck!

Try using the whitening toothpaste or gels for teeth, put it on and let it soak. Colgate has a brush on one that I used on my nails, took the yellow out after a couple times.

I had this problem a long time ago - the lady that does my nails told me to not use any polish for a couple of weeks and it should clear up. Your nails do need to breath once in a while and keeping them covered all the time in polish is not really good for them. And I have mine painted all the time since mine break so easy.

keep an eye on your nails, could be just the polish or hardner, but it could be a vitamin deficiency too. also if you develope ridges.
tee tree oil works great to whiten and strengthen nails, smells awful but really works great.
