I live in an apartment and the roaches thought they could live here too so I went to the local pool and pest control store in a state of desperation because the Combat gel stopped working.I purchased Dupont Advion ****roach Gel bait. The roaches were dead and dying within 48 hrs! Excellent product!

I also live in an apartment where roaches used to run around rampant. I used the Combat gel and with just one application and haven't seen any since. Thanks for letting me know of another product though. I might need it later! :)

When I first moved into my last apartment...we never seen ANY...but about 5 months later, there was some people moved upstairs, and I think they brought more than what we thought...It was just one or two at first, and then we got overwhelmed with them...they was even in my fish tanks....So I called the apartment manager, they came out and sprayed the WHOLE complex and did a follow up the next month and it got rid of them...I also used roach motels, to help get rid of some of them...UH...those are the nastiest bugs I have ever seen in my life!

a cheaper and more effective alternative to any kind of roach traps, sprays or powdrs is boric acid. its safe to leave around pets, and works like a charm. its like little tiny peices of glass that get stuck in and ingested into the roaches body, then they bring it back to the colony and it gets everywhere, they feed it to the larvae and queen etc. it's like an inside job. I had a terrible case of roaches (my neighbors were disgusting) i'd get up in the middle of the night and turn the kitchen light on, it was like a blanket of them on the floor. I could barely see tile. and they wouldnt scatter. it was real bad. a box of boric acid bought from home depot for $1.19 got rid of all of them, in the entire building (not just my apt) in about a week. I havent seen any since. HA!

My very first apartment was so over run with ants and roaches it was scary. I put down combats disks for both of them and in a week they were gone. I have never had a product that worked that fast and that well.

When hubby was in the Marine Corps, base housing kept us supplied with free Combat, and boy, does that stuff work. Nowadays, the minute I see one of those creepy crawlers in my house, I go buy some Combat, and poof! they disappear. :D

Pic Boric Acid for roaches and Protex-All Ant Kil (expensive but a little drop goes a long way) for sugar and ghost ants.

Where do you get the Protex for ants? I have never seen that here in Calif.
