installing a new ceiling fan

I Bought A New Ceiling Fan Yesterday For My Kitchen Are They Hard To Install? My Husband Has Changed Outlets,switches And A Bathroom Light Before But Never A Ceiling Fan. Do You Think It Would Be Hard For Him To Install Himself Or Should I Call Someone.

My husband installed the fans in our homes. He has put in outlets, etc just like yours does! They still work, so I would suggest trying to do it yourself first.

Ceiling fans are really pretty easy to install as long as there is a metal box already there where the light is. My husband and I put two ceiling fans with light kits in our house by ourselves. You could actually say that we put up three - we had to take one down and return it because it made a funny noise when we turned it on. I think it really is easier to have two people do the job though. My husband would hold the fans (they are really heavy) while I connected the wires. I do the electrical stuff (changing outlets, switches and light fixtures) and my husband does the plumbing stuff (replacing sinks and faucets) in our house. I even helped him put a ceiling fan in the baby's room last year when I was 6 months pregnant.

Oh my gosh! Would it speed up the process if you went ahead and took the fan out of the box and stared assembling the blades to it? ;) It really doesn't take long to put one up. Hope you get it put up soon. It's really getting hot now!

This weekend when he is home get it out and start preparing to install it more than likely he'll take over and get the job done. Good Luck!!

Tell him the women in this forum are taking bets as to when he will get this done, then tell him I am only kidding, lol somethings take time, I have the same problem with my husband, it is when he gets around to it, lol

Yeah, is it up yet?? We women may have to come over there and put it up if it is still sitting in the box, lol
