I have this sample, but I haven't used it yet. I'm afraid it will make my face break out or it will end up smelling funny after it's been on my face for a while. Even the stuff that I put on my legs has a light odor to it (all sunless tanners have the same odor) and I don't know if I could handle the smell so close to my nose even if it is faint.
I seriously need to start putting some sunless tanner on my legs though - I look like a ghost! LOL

I have tried this and it works really well, it does have a smell to it, but it is not offensive, and if you do not like it once it is on you can wash your face. give it a try, be sure to wash your hands after putting this on.

Well...I thought it was supposed to give you a gradual glow...but...it just turned me orange and left lines, abye it was because I am so light or something I dont really know...I should have tested it out somewhere not noticeable first.

There sure are mixed reviews on this one--guess I'll have to try it--I'm gonna have to find it first though. Think I'm gonna have to have a sample basket like many of you have mentioned. I used to just throw samples in my travel bag--that just isn't gonna work anymore:)

you have to completely rub it in! It is lotion if you apply it evenly and rub it completely in like lotion you may have better luck with it.I guess I was one of the lucky ones it worked great for me. :)

Well...my mom tried it and it worked okay on her...I think it has something to do with me having dry skin too...I dont know...things like that have never worked for me! I burn in a tanning bed...and the lotion makes me orange...I guess I will be pale forever! ;)

If you have dry skin I'm sure thats the problem. I have very dry skin and I used to streak from the fake tan stuff (any kind any brand) Because of medication I take I can't spend a lot of time in the sun so I use fake tanning stuff.I have found that before I apply my tan stuff I use body lotion first like 10 minutes before. It soaks just enough that when I apply my tanning lotion it go into my skin more even for an color.Watch knees and elbows they get darker and stand out.

I will try to put lotion on before I put it on over it...thanks for the tip!

Maybe try exfoliating first and before you apply, shake the bottle up really well. :)

I love it!!! I have had more people tell me how nice my tan is this summer than ever before!! I will definatly get this next summer! You really have to rub it in good and just use a small amount. I don't think I would try this on my face! Nothing but Mary Kay goes on my face! I think foundation will give your face good enough color. Make sure you exfoliate before useing it!;) ;)

I'm with you!! I love mary kay!! I'm a nut for moisturizer.Yesterday Oprah had a good show about the Dove pro age women. Some of those women amazed me.The one lady was over 70 she looked amazing. Her secret was moisturize, moisturize, moisturize eat healthy and enjoy what you do in life.

Liz - I used to manage a super tanning salon and have all sorts of hints in apply self tanners and removing "boo-boos"
It is best to apply straight out of the shower when your skin is still slightly damp
If you have dry skin - exfoliate prior to application.....a cheap exfoliation.......1/4 c table salt and a little oil (your choice) to make a paste - rub in circular motions! ( avoid cuts and eyes - ouch:eek: )
never apply straight "up and down" - always go in circles, this way if you do have a little streak it is not as apparent!
avoid knees, elbows and ankles - when you are finished applying, prior to washing your hands, go over these areas lightly with the residue left on you hands!
If you have a boo-boo or a streak, dab a small amount of hair remover on the area and immediately wipe off - magic erasers work well too!!Hope this helps!!! :p

yes, moisturize is the kay to ageless skin, and a good age fighting one!!
I really think Mary Kays is the best I have ever used! And drink lots of water! We have to hydrate from the inside out!

Did you try the sample of murad I think it was an anti wrinkle cream? I don't have wrinkles yet but thought what the heck I might as well try some of these samples.I really liked it until today when I got there catalog in the mail.I couldn't wait to see what else they offered then I noticed the price of the sample I tried.1oz $150.00 I was shocked!! Now I don't feel bad for spending $100 on a set of 3 items.

Most companies respond very nicely to an email explaining the situation. There is usually a contact us link at websites.:)
