McRib is back at McDonald's!

I know a lot of you loooove McRib sandwiches from McDonald's and I wanted to tell you that they are back. I went to McDonald's last night for my Southwest salad and the cashier told me McRib started yesterday.

So much for the salad! I had a McRib instead:D

Looks like my excitement was premature. Last night I was visiting a friend up north, and we had McRibs for dinner. But it appears that Chicago McDonald's locations are not offering McRibs! I tried three different locations today (two downtown and the Lincoln Park location), and no one has them!!! :(

I have not tried one in years. I did not like it then, but was wondering if maybe they made them differently now. They must --because I don't think this many people would like the one I tasted. I remember it having a mushy texture and too much fat instead of meat. Anybody remember them being like that???

It's strange how they are launching this on different days in different areas. My parents saw that it was available at a Frankfort, IL McDonald's today. It should be in Chicago very shortly I would think.

Yummm I enjoyed the McRibs when there were in my area, but sadly I searched McDonald's website here and didn't see anything about the sandwich. Hopefully they'll have them in the next couple months around here.

I got coupons for McRib in the mail today! I am tickled like a kid at Christmas! We may live in the boonies but our McDonalds have McRibs. LOL

The coupons I got were not addressed--they were in a weekly mailer that comes with ads. For example, my Walmart ad is always in this mailing. It has 4 coupons on it. Free med fries and drink w/ McRib, Free latte or cappuccino w/ sandwich purchase, BOGO Premium Chicken Sandwich, BOGO snack wrap. It has McRib.com on it. I'm going to check it out...

OK-I finally tried the McRib again the other day. I had not had one since they came out with it the very first time. I didn't like it then, but that has been a long time ago and so many people seemed to like them.....I thought I would give it another try(and of course, I had a coupon );)

There were no fatty parts like before, but it is just mechanically separated and pressed into a patty to resemble ribs and swimming in BBQ sauce. The sauce was tasty at least. I just don't understand the appeal:confused: , but that is what makes life interesting...we are all different !!:)
Am I the only one that doesn't like it??? or the McNuggets??? I do like the chicken selects!!!

I love the McRib, BUT I could see why others would not. I do like the chicken nuggets, but I like Wendy's better.

Needless to say I thought I was going to drive and eat it like I do everything else.Well when I opened the box it looked kinda messy (of course its covered in bbq) Well I take one bite and didn't like it.Now I have sauce on the steering wheel my hands and down my shirt so I sit it back in its box and went to stop for traffice when the box slid off the seat.

Yeah you guessed it it landed upside down on my bags of grocerys that were on the front floor board. So I pull off and I'm on the side of the road wiping bbq sauce off all my groceries!! I honestly think every item had some sauce on it. So that was my Mc Rib encounter I'm sticking with the big and nasty its more user friendly!! LOL!

I don't like it either. I can't take a mechanically separated and pressed into a meat patty meal. The idea of what may be in there is repulsive to me. I have a hard time with sausage, etc. too. And, I can't eat canned soup, etc. with bits of meat in it either. I know I'm weird! No offense to the McRib fans!

The McRib is gross. Hubby loves it - he has been getting it almost everyday during the week for lunch. It does smell good - but that's about it! I'd almost rather have a McNasty!

There are some things I like at McDonald's. I love the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle! I always order it with apple dippers instead of hash browns to ease my guilt, LOL! I truly love the McDonald's mystery shops. I get to eat a free McGriddle at McDonald's and get paid for it too!

I also love their salads. I would rather have a salad than a hamburger.
