My puppy will be 1 years old next week. He loves to bite hands and feet. We have tried everything. Yelping, sternly saying No, tap on the nose, give him a toy that is designated for chewing, rawhides, kennel him, gently lay on him like a mother pup would do..... everything. Anyone have any other suggestions.
I would try the bitterapple spray but it is our hands and feet so that does not work so well.

That is what we use to do, stick our hands in our dogs mouth. Actually, we would stick it down his throat until he gagged. It was of course icky, but it seemed to work. It really didn't take that long. I hope this helps...

We do the same thing the others mentioned. Well, my husband (gently) pushes his hand into our pups mouth if he starts to bite on his hand. I know that's a good way to teach him, but I just can't do that, so fortunately our pup (14 mo. old 100 lb poodle!) reacts to me yelping or saying ouch if he tries to gnaw on my hand. Chilly bone is a great toy that you soak with water and freeze. Our dog also enjoys cow ears to chew on for treats - double duty, they also help keep his teeth sparkley clean! :)
Oh do I miss the puppy training days...ha!

I was hoping mine, who is now 3 months old, will outgrow it once her "real" teeth come in. She doesn't respond to teh yelping or growling or NO BITE, nada. I swear I don't remember our Doxie doing any of these things when she was a puppy.
