I miss reduced fat slice and bake Pillsbury cookie dough. That was awesome and didn't taste low fat.

I miss Baked Lays Sour Cream & Onion. They still make it but they don't sell them anywhere near Savannah, GA.

I miss Grandma's fudge cookies - ditto... they make it ,but not around this region anymore.

I loved those brush-ups by O r a l - B. They were great when I use to travel a lot (just throw in purse).

I miss the brush ups too! I loved them. I always kept them in my purse when us girls went out.

I miss the ragu microwave pasta. It was like the mac n cheese you make in the microwave but it was ragu. It was good and fast!

I used to love "It's Pasta Anytime"...forgot who made it....it was pre cooked pasta that came in a bag, along with a bag of sauce. You put it into the tray that came with it and popped it in the microwave. I LIVED on that stuff Thursday nights when I worked clinic in NY......

I did find out one thing though....it was not too appetizing when you had to type up incident reports and autopsy photos were a part of the report....:eek:

Bring back soda in glass bottles. Nothing like popping the top off a bottle and drinking straight from the bottle.

You can buy the glass bottles of Coke, in a flat(case) at Sam's Club. I purchased them there for the holidays.

Orange Crush Ice Cream

1 two liter Bottle of Orange Crush
2 cans Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 cans evaporated milk
1 small can of crushed pineapple, drained

Combine Eagle Brand, evaporated milk and pineapple; mix well. Pour into ice cream freezer container. Slowly add Orange Crush. Make ice cream as usual. Enjoy!

Does anyone remember the shampoo and conditioner "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" ?? I forgot who made it but it was in a purple bottle I think...smelled sooooo good! Its gone now but use to love it! Along with the old smell of Agree shampoo and conditioner...it smells different than it did back in the the 70-80's...Just wondering if I am the only one who misses shampoo smells..I know I am weird!! LOL

Mr Turkey sandwich meat. it was out for couple of years back in the late 80's and then it was gone.

The original Nestle Quick chocolate mix, they changed it couple years ago so it would have less sugar and they redid it and added spices and stuff. it don't taste the same.

original Lever 2000 body wash, They changed that stuff and it is not the same anymore.. that was like couple years ago. I like that stuff it smelled clean and I loved the scent. then they changed it and the scent was off and something about it didn't appeal to me anymore.

all the body washes have changed... and even shampoos.

soft drinks with vanilla or both cherry and vanillia. Coke had one out and Pepsi and Dr Pepper.

I know there are lots of food that I used to eat and now are gone but I can't remember them anymore... I ate alot of homemade food so it is not like I ate tons of ready made food, so it is easy to forget about those foods.

I totally agree! I make them myself though. Just make the pudding as directed. Pour IMMEDIATELY into popcicle molds and freeze.

The reason I stress "immediately" is because the pudding sets up really quickly and is really hard to get into the molds without too many air bubbles if it is too set.

They are just like the premade ones we used to buy.

Just fyi- You can also make your own fruity popcicles with jello gelatin. Just add extra water or juice then pour into molds and freeze.

Bath and Body Works Black Raspberry Vanilla Volumizing Conditioner. They have d/c most of their signature fragrances in the s/c. I've been suffering (sob) for 2 years without it. I was lucky enough to score 2 bottles of the shampoo a year or so ago at one of the semi-annual sales. I can't find the conditioner anywhere. I loved it because it made my hair smell soooooo good all day long!

PS- If anyone here happens to know where there is some or has some they'd like to part with, please let me know. :)

Toilet Duck toilet cleaner!!! That stuff worked like a charm!! I used that in my toilet when I lived in Mississippi and it cleaned the ick out of it. The toilet looked like it had not been cleaned since the Freedom Riders had stayed at the apartment back in 1962. (I saw my duplex address listed on a History Channel special...thought it was v. cool)

I also liked the drop-in for the toilet...it was duck shaped, and cute. It also did a good job of keeping the bowl clean and it was thick, so it lasted a long time...(miss the commercial too, of the duckling riding the prduct (with little wheels on it, looking like a tank) and quacking LOL)

Yes, Reckitt-Benckiser discontinued it. Many soapmaking and biodiesel making websites still offer sodium hydroxide from other manufacturers for sale.

There were these chips I used to love I believe by lay's...they were called Applewood bar-b-q chips and they were the kettle cooked kind. Also, Velveta used to make herb & garlic velveta shells and cheese. And a long time ago, I believe it was pepsi had a clear soda called Crystal Clear I believe...mmmmm...I miss these so much!

They were these little packets that you put in the mirowave for 1 minute. It would heat up and pop open and there was a nice warm lemon scented wipe in there that you would use to wipe out the microwave. They worked great and smelled wonderful. I couldn't find them anywhere so I contacted the company and they said that they discontinued them. :(

This store also has the Curad Incredible Lengths wrap-around adhesive bandages, which are discontinued, too. I haven't been able to find them anywhere for a long time. One end is four times longer to really wrap around well and stay put. They work great for bandaging up a finger cut when you're active and need something that will really stay on all day. Even though they are old and not on clearance, I bought two boxes because they work so well.

I got a sample of Lever 2000 body wash weeks ago, I tried it, I loved the scent, I used to use it but stop and went to another soap..

So I went to the store yesterday and I could not find the Lever 2000 Body Wash. Was not at the big grocery store or at super walmart... When I was the grocery store I asked the one of the stockers if they had any Lever 2000 Body wash, the person had someone to go in the back to look for any if they had some... Nope they did not have any...


So I called Lever 2000 today on the phone, asked about the body wash, telling them I could not find it in any store I went to. Told them the stores only had the bar soap not the body wash... The lady who took my call did a search and said it was sold at Target. a place a hardly ever go to only once in a while... Why would Target sell it when it gets even less people, I would think it would not sell big there o would sell at all. Walmart and the grocery store gets way more people shopping there. Those would be the best places to carry the body wash....

She said ask the stores to carry the product. or order it online... She said that if it don't sell fast enough or well enough they stop carrying it...

But sometimes when I go to the store walmart and the grocery store, the might be out of the same body wash then get a shipment in later...

IF they are going to stop carrying products I guess I will not buy Lever 2000.
and go with a more dependable brand. I am not going to buy it online.

The lady didn't even ask me my name or address. SO apparently they do not really care about their consumers...

Also at walmart it seems like the soap aisles was so thinned out. there where alot of soaps missing or not stocked.

I have gotten used to buying different items now, years ago I could count on using the same product for years and years. But now it seems like have to change products or brands more often... Have to think about when buying something that what if they don't sell the replacements... So I can't buy some of the items they sell because they don't sell the replacements for them..

WOW! Lucky you. Grab them while you can. I absolutely loved those things They were so convenient and smelled so nice. My microwave always smelled clean. I was so disappointed when they were discontinued.

As evidenced by Wal-Mart's (WMT) attempt to streamline its shelf space, even garbage inspires brand loyalty among American consumers.

Earlier this month, Wal-Mart returned Clorox's (CLX) Glad bags and Pactiv's (PTV) Hefty bags to its shelves after cutting them in February and carrying only S.C. Johnson and Sons' Ziploc bags and its Great Value in-house brand. Wal-Mart says the Hefty and Glad bags and hundreds of other items were taken out of the mix as part of a remodeling effort, but the retailer replaced them when it became clear it wasn't losing only a $4.99 single-item sale, but entire shopping excursions by people seeking specific brands.


"What we found is that you can discontinue items that don't sell but get you a trip," said Bill Simon, Wal-Mart's executive vice president and chief operating officer, at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Consumer Conference last week. "So, we've been through the business and put 300 or so of those items back into the stores that were removed. We believe that that's going to solve some of those issues."
