I posted this but it did not work. So I am re-posting. Found this. Free Accu-Chek meter and Diabetic Magazine. You sign up for the magazone and on the next page they ask for information about diabetes. RE: what type you have, what you use to treat and how often you test your suger. Then they will tell you that you qualify for the meter. Provide mailing address and Voila. Thanks for all the other great posts. Love this site and have my family signed up now. :p

I received the meter and magazine today via Fedex. There were 2 boxes of test strips. A total of 68 strips. The magazine was in the box with the meter. Nice. The meter is advanced to me in technology. It has reminders and alerts of all sorts. I am happy and I hope when my hubby gets home, he will be too.

I did not get offered a meter, which I find odd as I have type 2 diabetes. Was there something I missed? I got a confirmation stating the magazine would come but nothing about a free meter.

I went back and tried to tinker and see what happened. When I chose pills and 3 times a day for testing sugar, I did not receive the confirmation for a free meter. Then I hit back and changed the pills to Insulin and it went through.

Congratulations!

Detachable lancing device—use attached or detached from your meter, and it's proven least painful.1
Drum of 17 preloaded test strips—for no individual strip handling.
No coding—for fewer steps in testing.2
5-second results.I guess you have to be Insulin dependent? Maybe if you change that that will help. I don't see why it matters, personally. Good luck. Sorry about the confusion. I was unaware of that.
