what i do not get is most OTC cold medicine clearly states in the dosage table that children under 2 consult your dr- and the dr would tell you to NOT give it to your child- so why are people still giving it to kids under 2?

They make the infant drop cold medicine that was for babies also. My friend was using this for her daughter when she was about 7 mos old- the doctor told her to. I was worried however, when I saw that she had regular Children's Tylenol-the kind for older children (she said that it was cheaper and the doctor said to give a smaller dose). When I was babysitting for her I refused to use that one because I think that is dangerous and how the babies end up overdosing-I told her to switch to store brand infant instead.
