My mother-in-law had a radical mastectomy on Monday. Fortunately, the cancer hasn't spread, and it looks like she is going to be okay. But still, it was a scare! A click in her honor!

Thanks, Carol! I talked to her last night and she is in good spirits. She said, "Well, I am 72, things had to go wrong eventually!" She's in good spirits, which will help her along tremendously, I believe.

Purchase any Soft & Dri® anti-perspirant deodorant or specially marked pink edition Renuzit® Raspberry Adjustable or Dial® Soy & Almond Milk Body Wash, between September 1, 2007 and October 31, 2007 and The Dial Corporation will donate $10 per product to Y-ME® up to a maximum of $150,000.

$10 per product-wow!!

Also, if the products on this thread's site are a little too steep for your pocketbook...Walgreens has some really cute "pink" products at awesome prices! 25% is donated to Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. The most expensive item is a very cute t-shirt for 9.99. They also have hats, mugs, tumblers, socks, and pins. It is in this weeks sale flier and says that it is available at walgreens.com also.

Yes, It is definitely breast cancer awareness month in full swing... I was trying to remember the statistics..Isn't it that 1 of every 3 women will have to deal with it at some point in there lives?? It's scary!!:( The good thing about it is I've seen it actually strengthen most of the women I have known that have had it. Dealing with it seems to make the women and the people close to them value their lives more and live them to the fullest. I am in awe of the courage and determination I have seen as a result of this horrible disease.

The stats are 1 in 8 have a chance of getting BC, the chance of dying from it is 1 -35, that number has improved because more women are getting tested! and this month (Oct) alot of health facilities offer low cost mammograms, usually under $100.00.
