I know some people have had bad experiences with surveys, but there are some survey sites that are good. You just have to go into them being realistic about what you will get. I thought it might be helpful to see what I actually have received from some of them. Here are some that I participate in (or used to) and my comments about them:

HarrisPoll- They give you points for every survey you take (they email you the offers). You can pick a prize once you get enough points. I have gotten a free CD from them and have enough points for another prize, but am saving them up for something larger. **I redeemed some points for a nice 5 qt crockpot :). Not sure what I will save up for next yet.

ZoomPanel- This works like Harris and I have also earned a CD from them and a pair of headphones, but they stopped sending me emails for surveys for some reason so I don't use them anymore. I signed up for this again and have redeemed some points for a book from them since I last posted.

Surveyspot- They usually have contest entries with each survey. Years ago I got a free bottle of Frizz-Eeze and $5 for completing a survey about it. In more recent years I just get entries. Someone else posted on here that they get alot of surveys that paid them money, so I guess it just depends on your demographics. ** I have earned $26.00 total from them. (Part of this was money in the account I had earned before my first post that I had forgotten to request).

NO LONGER AVAILABLE Your2Cents- This one used to give you money even if you didn't qualify (it was something like 20 cents, which was cool since it wasn't a total waste of time when you didn't qualify) but they don't do that anymore. However when you qualify you can get money in your account. I requested a check for $16.20 last October and received it. I currently have $4.00 in earnings, but you need $5.00 or more before they will issue a check. **I have now earned $26.20 from them in total.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE Greenfield- I think I got a small check from them a long time ago, but have had no luck lately- I never qualify. I still get the emails, but usually delete them.

Both Your2Cents and Greenfield have merged with Toluna recently. I am not sure how I feel about this yet.

** I am doing Pinecone surveys also. I think it is one of the best survey sites I am aware of. You get $3 for each completed survey and they now can send you a check or put it directly in your PayPal account. There hard thing is you have to find a sign-up banner to join this one. Luckily there is a whole thread about this and sometimes people mention where their banners are located. I have earned $21 so far from them- I just started with them in December. I still think this one is the best. If you have a chance to register with them, I strongly suggest it!

I now do e-rewards as well. I earn money towards Upromise (to earn savings toward college). I guess they also have other rewards you can earn depending on how you sign up for it. What I like about it is that you earn some money for a survey even if you don't end up qualifying for the whole survey. What I don't like about them is that they greatly exaggerate how much you are earning. For example, when I have $30 saved, I can redeem it for $5 in my Upromise account. $60 will earn me $20 and $120 will earn $50 in Upromise. I think that is rather misleading, but I do have $74.80 in there (so that is worth a little more than $20.

I also have a couple click to earn companies I deal with. I have received a $25 Wal-Mart card and a $10 Chili's card from Memolink. It does take alot of time, but I enjoy things like their trivia question. You can also earn point for buying things from major retail companies. (They must get money for you clicking on it through their site, so they give you points to encourage it). I have more information about Memolink in another post. **I now have earned and received my $50 Wal-Mart gift card :D.

A new one I just signed up for recently is InboxDollars. It's a little early to tell with that one. You have to earn $30 before they will issue you a check. I am only at $8.32 right now. **I am very close to being able to request this one. I have $28.74 currently. Update: I have earned a check for $30.81 from them. I now have another $27.30 that I need to get to $30 before I can redeem. One bad thing is they take out a $3 processing fee when you redeem your money.

**There is another site I am using that has to be owned by the same people as InboxDollars. It is SendEarnings and the set-up and offers are almost identical. I have $13.05 with them so far. Again you need $30 before you can redeem it. Update: I have $50.95 in my account now. I will probably wait until I have $53 until I redeem it since they also take a $3 processing fee when you go to redeem. It has taken me a little over 2 years to earn this though.

**MyPoints is another one that I started doing, and I really like it. It is a click-to-earn/shopping site similar to the others I have mentioned. You save up your points for a variey of gift cards. I have earned a $10 gasoline card and I am saving up for a $25 one this time. I need 3750 points for that and I have 2905 right now. This is my favorite Click-to-earn site.

None of these are necessarily always winners and don't expect to get something quickly all the time, but if you enjoy this sort of thing you should check some of them out. If anyone wants actual links to these, I will try to find them for you, just ask.

Thank you for your input about these companies....I had gotten a couple emails recently from a couple and didn't know if they really paid $$ or not! This does help out!;)

hello everyone..just wanted to say that www.surveyspot.com does pay. Yes they do have surveys where you just get entries into there sweepstakes, but if you keep doing those ones, you will get sent surveys with real money as a reward. You must complete a profile so they know which surveys you will qualify for that they have. I have been a member for only 4-5 months and have already made $46.00 from them. I know a couple other sites that do pay you without having to jump thru hoops or sign up for anything else. If you want the info, PM me and we can exchange emails with the web addresses.

How much do you pay for offers each survey??????

VanillaBean
05-08-2007, 02:48 PM
Sometimes it pays $5. Sometimes $2-$3. I don't pay a thing. Sometimes they have sent me a $20 survey, but I don't always qualify. You just have to keep with doing the surveys for more to get sent to you. Plus I visit the site as well.

With the survey sites I have mentioned, you do not have to pay a thing, you just have to sign up to join. The ones that make you sign up for 3 offers to get anything, to me are a big rip-off.

I am glad that you have had luck with surveyspot. I have been a member for at least 5 years and have not made $46.00 total, I really do think it depends on the specific demographics that they are looking for (where you live, age, etc). Perhaps I just need to update my information, because of your post I will do that. I really don't visit their website, I just wait for them to email me. That may be the problem.

VanillaBean

It could just be that simple. Update your profile and try to visit at least once a day to see if any surveys are available. Even if you start one and don't complete it, they see you are serious and it will pay off. My demographic is pretty simple, I am 30yrs old, have a 13yr old girl, a 6yr old boy, I am divorced, but I am engaged(have a significant other). I work part-time. Pretty simple person and household. I am an avid coupon and bargain hunter and taking surveys is a great way for me to express what and how I shop as a mother. I have even had surveys that are for the kids. Kinds like video games and kid movies on dvds and how they like different covers of the dvds. I feel very safe and comfortable allowing my kids to participate. ( I am right there too). Good-Luck. If you have any more questions, or anyone does for that matter, please don't hesitate to ask me!:)

Shoshcop, I am glad you can use this information (and welcome to the startsampling forums, you really can learn alot in here). Here are the links to the sites I have mentioned above.

www.harrispollonline.com

www.zoompanel.com

www.surveyspot.com

www.your2cents.com

www.greenfieldonline.com

If anyone is interested in memolink, please send me a private message with your name and email and I can refer you (I would get 100 points for this). I need 18,443 more point for that $50 Wal Mart gift card that I want so badly ;). I know that sounds like alot, but I already have 64,747 points so I will get there eventually, but would sure appreciate the referral bonus to help me do that. If you want more information about them, post in here or message me and I will explain it more in depth. I have another post in here about it also.

Inbox dollars works the same way, PM me if you want me to refer you. I would get $5 in my account. Later, if you have friends that want to join you could get the extra $5 from their referral. **They just recently changed the way the referral process works. Now they give you 10% of qualified earnings they make, which sounds ok, but you get nothing for them clicking on the emails anymore and you don't get the $5 either :(.

Hope this information helps.

If a company wants you to pay for a list of survey sites, it is bogus. NEVER ever pay for a list of survey sites. So called survey sites like Franklin Surveys, where you get "A Free X-Box 360" are bogus. You sign up, answer 40 pages of c***, sign up for who knows how much $$ worth of trial magazines, music or movie clubs, and when you reach the point where you have satisfied the requested hoop jumping, they tell you you messed up something along the way, and disqualified yourself. That to me is a bogus site. If anyone is interested, I get a newsletter that is connected to an MSN Group listing survey sites, PTR sites, I have already gotten paid by some of them, and she has a black list of survey sites, sort of "Join at your own risk" list. So, if anyone wants the link to the newsletter (or group), which has a link to the group, let me know, and I will get it for you. The site has tons of information, and since joining the site, I have started getting a downline in the PTR sites I belong to.

Just remember, do not pay someone so you can get a list of survey sites. All the information is out there on the net for free. I won't post the link unless asked to, in case someone perceives it as Spam, since that is a big no no in Annika's.

Any web site listed here is use at your own risk, it is not an endorsment just opinions of members, so use carefully, thanks for letting us know.

pinecone research pays $5 per survey you take. Problem is you have to find their banner to sign up. If approved you get surveys, and short surveys to see if you match for a survey. You get product samples to try and do an evaluation on. Full size samples.

I found a link yesterday to a SIGN UP sheet only... if you get choosen is another thing. It is worth signing up though. Also the $5 can come in a chaeck or your paypal account.

There's a new industry born because of the 'Do Not Call List,' the list that was instituted to stop telemarketers from calling people. The advertisers didn't go away and they still need to get the word out about their products and services. So GPT (Get Paid To) sites came into existence. People get paid to do surveys and complete offers and sign up for products and services on these sites. Treasure Trooper is the biggest one of these sites and is totally legitimate. There are many, many others and more sites are opening every day. As a matter of fact, I'm going to be opening one of my own within a couple of weeks. I started working on these sites the end of April and in May I made over $80 and in June over $200. You do have to make sure of the sites you join because, as with anything, there are ones that aren't legitimate. There's a Work At Home Moms site, and within their message boards is one called 'Get Paid......' and there are discussions about all the sites that pay and the members there show proof of payments received. It's so helpful and you can find out which sites are good to join, and you can be kept informed of new ones opening and other things going on with the industry. People are making a nice little bit of money with these sites, and it can really be a help for stay at home moms, retired or disabled people, or just for people who want some extra money for whatever reason.

I am a member of my points and have been for years you can earn points for reading emails, ebay purchases, surveys and lots more. Points can be redeemed for gift certificates for most any where from red lobster to walmart. If any one is interested I will be glad to send them a referral the referral will automatically put points in your account just for being a referral.

Sunshine rewards is a great program. easy to earn giftcards by doing surveys, signing up for offers, shopping and clicking links in emails. i've been with the program for about 1 1/2 years. you can even redeem for disney giftcards or disney dollars!!!! really worth the time.

Harris Poll is pretty cool. I have been taking surveys from them for a couple of years now. They are usually about consumer related things and politics. I have received free a year subscription to Jane and now I have a 6 month subscription to Rolling Stone. I almost have enough points for another magazine. They offer other things as well, but magazines are my favorite. It takes awhile to receive your freebies after you order them, but it is well worth it.

There is a discussion that has been going on for some time in Annika's on the pro's and con's of that site. It may help you decide if it is worth spending time on that site. It is listed in the warnings section of her site. Some people have had luck with it, others not. I fell into the "Not" group.

I'm not sure if I can post the link to the thread here, so I will chance it.
Just in case it gets edited out, google Annika's, for me it is the first to come up on the page. The thread is listed under "Warnings" on her page, and of course look for Inbox Dollars.

I am currently doing this one but I did find out that you have to earn money buy doing trial offers. Which means signing up and giving out credit card numbers- on top of which then you have to call and cancel whatever you signed up for. They do have free trial offers, but very few. Then you have to earn $30.00 before they will send you any check and then lol it costs $3.00 fee to send check. It took a long time for me to get to that amount- and then it won't even come till September 11th. This is definitely a iffy site!!:(

I have been a memeber to the survey sites listed and many more. I make quite a bit at times and other times not so much. Alot will pay you with points, but all you have to do is let your points add up.When I reach whatever limit I have decided to cash in my points: I have received 3-$100.00checks. I also test products at home, sometimes I do focus groups online and get paid for those.I have received a digital camera from zoompanel,a sterling silver bracelet with sapphires & diamonds, gift certificates, game controllers for PS2 game sysmtem, accessories for Gameboy Advance SP,dvd movies & sometimes I am paid in amazon.com gift certificates. I do alot of my birthday & christmas shopping this way, too. It beats paying out of the wallet when you don't have money available. And I enjoy giving my opinion and possibily testing products at home. If you want more info just left me know.

I've been a member of MySurvey.com for about two years. It is awesome. You usually get 10 pts. for taking a survey. However, there are opportunities to get more pts. You also get points for referrals. You earn $10 for every 1000 pts. which they send as a check in the mail. You can also choose prizes or donate your earnings to charity. I had been saving my pts. for about five months and I just spent them to get a $30 check, which I cashed yesterday. I've made about $90 the past two years. Don't expect to be about to quit your day job, but it is definitely worth sitting on your bottom answering questions. :)

I have been a member for over 30 years, lol, way back when everything was done through the mail, still get some that way now and then, but it is so much easier to do on line now, and to get some extra cash is even nicer. I just cashed a check for $20.00 and already have over 1000 points but I think I will let it build up a bit more, I have been lucky lately doing good surveys for 500 points and some for 250, adds up quick and I like having the messenger to let me know when a survey is available, but I do check in everyday hoping that I will one day win that daily prize of $100.00 (1000 points) so far nada......

One of my favorite survey sites is Global Test Market. You earn points even if you don't qualify for a survey, you just earn more points for the ones you do. Every point is worth $.05, I now have 2176 points which is worth $108.80. They send out a lot of surveys and if you stay on top of it, you can make some money with them. You do have to ac***ulate 1000 points to withdraw your money, but it doesn't take much for that.

Hope some of you will try this and enjoy it.

Thank you!! :) It was so exciting! The best part is the notification email was in my spam folder!! Thank heavens I read spam when I'm not sure if it's rally spam or not! And the email started with, "Congratulations, you won....." I thought to myself, "Yeah, right." LOL Long story, but I went to their website and got the phone number and called them and they verified that I indeed had won!! And then I got my money! I have thousands of points in my account so I buy one raffle ticket for each of the raffle prizes every month. Maybe lightning'll strike twice!! ;)

Nope! Completely legit! They have a Winners Page on the site and I was on it! All of those listed there have actually won! They put every winner's name (first name, last initial), on there. And what's really nice is that if you win a prize you're allowed to take the cash value instead, like I did! I would have loved the TV cuz I'm still sitting here with a 19" one, but I needed the cash more than I needed a TV at the time.

FYI - I know some people have had a bad experience with Inbox Dollars, but I just received a $50 check from them (I've been a member since May or June I think). You have to be aware of the fine print . . .

You must keep your account active by clicking on 8 out of 10 of the emails they sent you just before they send your check. . . the other bit of fine print. . . . They process your check about 1 month after you request it.

If you have questions, or are interested, PM me.

I've had a lot of luck with this site, and with Mypoints.

If anyone needs a referral to either one, just let me know!

I have done 18 surveys since joining in April............so earned $90. I do like Opinion Outpost a lot.........only been with them a couple of months and have earned $51.50. Imagine a lot is just the demographics. Have been with Survey Spot and Survey Savvy a long time and enjoy their surveys. :)

I had heard they were going to do $2 and $3 surveys, but didn't know they were actually doing it. Some of the really short ones would be worth $2 or $3, but generally speaking, I think I would be a little put off. I have done surveys for them for over 2 years at $5 per, other than the "3001" surveys designed to update our info. I was rather upset with the one I did the other day that was for a drawing.

I have noticed alot of these websites that say they will pay you cash (or prizes) for doing short surveys. Are they safe or a scam? I'm not looking to make tons of money or for a quick money making sceme but hey if someone is really paying for my opinion I don't mind taking the several minutes to fill them out. But I wanted to see if anyone else has ever done them and if you've come across any problems. For instance, on the Start Sampling site a few days back there was a banner at the top for FreeFly's.

Can anyone tell me more about these survey companies or what is expected from an everyday person like me.... Thanks.

I only do mysurvey.com, after you get 1000 points you can get a check for $10. I maybe get $30-40 a year. I'm on the computer anyway during the day so I might as well. Most of the surveys are about products, sometimes I get free stuff to try and complete a survey, those are always fun to get in the mail.

You could look into myview.com, they pay cash into your paypal account, are very consistent, and although it usually takes a couple of weeks to get paid, you will be paid. It takes a while because, like many other companies, you have to wait until the study closes. But it is a good company. Check into them. I have been doing surveys with them for AGES. At least 5 years that I can think of.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Lightspeed Panel (http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/index.html). I've been a member there for a number of years and they're my favorite survey site - I also do Harris Poll and e-Rewards, which I also don't think anyone mentioned (it's sponsor invitation only, but pays cash like some of the other survey sites mentioned). Lightspeed gives you points that you can redeem for tons of stuff, I usually redeem for Amazon gift cards - I've probably gotten over $500 in Amazon gift cards from them in the past 5 years or so! They do lots of product testing surveys where they send you products to test, that's my favorite part, if anyone likes doing that sort of thing.

I use http://www.sendearnings.com you can't request a check from them until after $30. They do paid emials.... where you all you have to do is open and read the email(which I rarely do), but they will give you like $.02 an email. The more you do the more they send you too.

I have had good luck with survey spot. Greenfield and Lightspeed I have not. I had one the other day where I was to listen to 579 clips of christmas music and tell whether I had heard that version of the song or not. Listen to this...........all for a dollar. I passed. would take forever. I also have good results with aol opinion place but you gotta have aol as ISP. Haven't gotten anything good yet from Pinecone either.

www.harrispollonline.com

www.zoompanel.com

These are the 2 that I do .. I love doing surveys to get points and trade in for prizes that I pick. In September, I had traded in some points on zoompanel for a fondue set .. the only problem I had was that it was supposed to take only 2-3 weeks for it to arrive and it took them almost 8 weeks, but I did get my fondue set, it's really cute and I can't wait to start making some chocolate suckers and stuff. But because of me keeping on them about not receiving it yet, they are also sending me a free 10 dollar barnes & noble gift card for the trouble. My hubby will love the GC. :)

I am not familiar with all of them, but I think they are click-to-earn sites. I know that inboxdollars and sendearnings are almost the exact same thing. I think that they are run by the same company actually. Sometimes they offer surveys you can take, but they are mainly "shopping" type sites. If you purchase through or click on their emails you get points.

I was always under the impression that you had to have aol to do surveys on opinion place. I checked and you do not. They can pay in paypal or some sort of frequent flyer miles. Sorry if you all already knew this. I was reviewing some of the post and did not see it ( or don't think I did). Anyway, I have been doing this for sooooooo long. In November, I had 27.00 put into my checking account (AOL members only can do this and it posts within 4-5 days......other payment method may take longer) and I can take a survey every 7 days. Seems like everyday I get an email inviting me to a special survey that does not count towards my surveys every 7 days. Anyway, this is about the only place I have made money this quick! Anyone else use this?

Question about AOL users are you getting money in your checking account or does it go towards your AOLbill? I ask because this is what I found; Upon completion of a survey, an Opinion Place credit will be applied to your
AOL billing statement. Credit amounts are awarded based upon survey length.

laf76

My AOL is directly debited from my checking account. So, my money earned is credited to my debit account. So, I still am debited 9.99 a month for aol.

I've been on MySurvey.com for aboutr 4 years or so now. They give you points and you can cash them in for raffle tickets, prizes or cash (every 1000 points is $10-must do increments of $10). I must say, I get at least 5-6 surveys a month and have gotten anywhere from 10-1000 points depending on what I need to do. You also get poiunts for referring new members. PM me if you want me to send you a link. Sometimes they send you new products to try like PineCone. I usually save my points until the end of the year and cash them in mid November so I have some extra cash. This year I got a $70 check! It's like my own little Christmas Club but I don't have to put the money in myself!!!:p

Another another awesome site is MyPoints. I think I've been on this one for at least 7 or 8 years now. You get points just for reading emails and also for buying products from the places online that they are affiliated with. I get a lot of points for EBay purchaes and ITune downloads. Thay also send surveys and have a game site that connects with them and gives you points as well. Just like MySurvey, you get points for referrals too! I just cashed in a Shell card with them yesterday! That's the 5th or 6th oine I've gotten in the last few years. Free gas-always a good thing!!! :p

I also just cashed in for a $50 Shell card at MyPoints and am working towards another one.

I did really well with MyCokeRewards. I cashed in most of my points for a virtual visa...they send you the info...and it could be used for any purchase online because you don't get the actual plastic. Anyway, I went to Amazon.com and bought a $25 virtual gift certificate with it and then my son ordered two video games and only wound up paying $15 for them both. Feee super saver shipping too! I didn't find any previous threads about this. www.epinions.com

Epinions.com is a good place to read reviews of products, and I have used it for years. I recently found out that you can get paid for writing reviews on this site. You get paid each time someone clicks your review. It's only cents per click, so that can take a while to add up, but if you like writing reviews it can be fun. They are also offering a $10 for 10 each month. If you write 10 reviews over 200 words, you get $10. It's pretty easy to write 200 words. You can cash out after $10. I did the 10 for 10 in February. I'm going to try to do another 10 this month.

You write the product review and other members will rate it helpful, very helpful, etc. The better the rating, the higher up on the list you are. The higher up you are, the more people will click on your review.

If you enjoy writing reviews, this is a fun thing to do. Look at other reviews to get ideas about how the reports a written. Once you write a few it gets easier.

I have been a member of inbox dollars and send earnings(a sister company, I think) for about a year. All I do is read the emails they send, plus try to qualify for a survey everyday. I got a check from them last year for $30.00. I have about $60.00 in my account now. I'm saving until I get $100.00. I figured out that if I do a survey for send earnings or memomail it will knock me out of one for inbox dollars. So I choose inbox dollars to try and build up the most money. I always go to that one first. If they don't send me an email that day, I've got them bookmarked so I can go to them first. I also got a check from send earnings last year also. I hope this helps with any questions about these two companies.;)

I do InboxDollars and SendEarnings too and they are ok. You need to earn $30 from them before you can get the money. I am really close at InboxDollars, I have a little over $28 so pretty soon I can get it. An even better click-to-earn site, in my opinion is MyPoints. You earn gift cards- there are many different ones, but I like the gasoline ones (I received a $10 one so far and am saving up for a $25 one now). If you want a referral to that, you could PM me your name and email address and I can do that for you. Just an idea for you. I also do Memolink (info on that one is in the very first post).

They have several ways to recieve your payment. You can have it posted to your paypal account, the card on file with aol, and a couple of other ways. Check it out. I verify cath's endorsement of these programs. I belong to all of these programs and have been paid by most. They are legit. The only one I am not sure of is Your2Cents. They used to be a fav of mine. But, I haven't received any invitations from them. I also requested a check for the balance of my account, and have not received it, yet. Opinion Outpost is definitely still running. I completed a survey last night for 30 points. (make sure to log on and check for surveys to do as I found I had 3 on there)
How long ago did you request check?? Once, I did not receive a $35 check and they had to reissue it.........took a while....but normally you get the check within a couple of weeks of requesting it.

Their policy is:
You must have a minimum of 50 Opinion Points to redeem them. Please allow 4-8 weeks for Opinion Point check processing and delivery

As far as 2 cents.........I am a member and just logged in and there is a survey for me to do........although I never received an email.

Viewpoint is finally taking referrals again.............you get 100 points for first five you refer. I hit that a long time ago..............but could refer someone and then, they could refer 5 and so on and so on...........don't want to waste referring if noone gets points for it.

I have a question. Has anyone requested payment for InboxDollars and had them say they were taking $3 out for a processing fee to send the check? I am up to $31 and they say I can get $28 because of that fee. That doesn't seem fair to me. Does anyone know if they offer a Paypal transfer or something else where they don't charge a fee? I have never had a company do that before. They send the check for the amount you earn or transfer it thru Paypal. If anyone knows another company that takes money out when you request payment, please post that as well. Thanks.

Inbox Dollars does take $3 to process your check. I just found out today they are only paying $.50 for their surveys now, when before they paid $1.00 You would think they would at least have the courtesy to contact their members ahead of time about this change. I'm not sure their surveys are worth the trouble anymore. I've never had a survey from them that was shorter in length than 15 minutes. To everyone that I recommended this company to; I am truly sorry.

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that they had lowered the amount for their surveys either. I guess I shouldn't complain about getting $28 because that is still good, but it would have been nice for them to let us know upfront about that "fee" and like you said, to keep us informed when they change things.

Well I am not sure if you have to pay taxes and which use paypal. I found a couple of sites that I found are informative. Here are the links:

http://www.earnontheside.com/?page_id=13
It gives a short description of survey websites.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080412193559AAfTmmg
There are different answers from people to the question - Online paid surveys that are 4 real?

So far and recently I have only joined SurveySpot. I have taken $23.00 dollars worth of surveys in the past month that I have qualify for. The only thing is I have to wait around six weeks for the credit which is supposed to appear under rewards in my account then I can claim it. I very much new to it so I am still waiting to see how well it works for me.

I am not an expert on this, but my understanding is that you don't need to pay taxes on it unless you make more than $600 in a year from one company. I could be wrong, but that is what I have heard.

Did you read the first post. I recently updated it and it shows how much I have made from the different sites and my opinions on them.

To answer your question about Pinecone, there is another thread about it and they post where you can find a banner there. Countrypkin65 (Pamela) last posted it was available on this site: http://www.delphiforums.com/
You may have to keep refreshing the page to get it to show up. Good luck!

A company would need your social security number to report sending you a check as a payment. If you have given your social security number and recieved a check then I would suggest reporting it as income regardless of the amount.

I received my first $3 check from Pinecone last week and I just requested a $3 check from surveysavvy. I really enjoy taking surveys, and it's great that you get paid for them. I have $21 in my inbox dollars account and can't wait til I can get that $30 check. I don't like the fact that you get 50 cents now rather than $1 for taking surveys as some people have already complained about in this post, but I gotta keep going now. I wish I would have joined these survey companies years ago. It's a great way to earn extra cash!! :D

I just went and read everything at that site and no where did I see where they said they mail out anything to test, they do not even offer a token amount of money to do surveys, just a drawing to possibly win something. Here is a statement right from the site.

Join the MarketView Research panel today and you will be entered to win valuable prizes every time you answer a survey. As a member of our panel you will be asked to participate in online surveys that will be e-mailed to you. Your responses to these online surveys will directly influence the decisions that companies make in the marketing and design of their products or services. At times we might ask you to visit a specific website and give your opinion about it. Other times, we will e-mail you an invitation with a link that will take you to an online survey, which may include graphics or a virtual product.

I've been on Inbox Dollars for about a year now and it took me about 9 months to get to the $30 mark. I just checked and I have just over $4 now  . Anyway, referrals get you $5 each , but there's a catch. You only get credited when your referral does their first check request. So you can imagine how long that process takes! Anyway, it's just a click through so it buils up eventually. Money is money no matter how you get there so I'll take it!!!!

I got an offer to join ZoomPanel for $1.25 in my InboxDollars account. I used to belong to ZoomPanel, but then they stopped sending me surveys. Signing up again helped me because I was trying to get a check for $30 from InboxDollars (they take out a $3 processing fee). I am now able to request the check :) .

Also at times, they may send a product for you to test.

They no longer are offering the registration as they have signed up a bunch. But you can look for their banner on other sites.

I've been a member of Harris Poll for almost 7 years. I enjoy their surveys and have received two new pieces of luggage for my time. Yes, it took years to accumulate enough points to get something of that magnitude, but I find it worth it.

I am also a member of www.e-rewards.com. This also emails surveys to you, and you accumulate points (dollars) in an e-rewards account to redeem for gift cards to Target, Barnes & Noble or hotel rewards programs as well as frequent flier programs.

Here is a list of sites that I have been paid through:

Lightspeed surveys http://us.lightspeedpanel.com/
I joined about a week or so ago and have already cashed out $5 paypal.
You do surveys and get points or product testing.

Swagbucks http://swagbucks.prodege.com/?cmd=home
Just do normal searches and you sometimes will get bucks. If you refer people with your account, you also get every buck that they get.

www.MyPoints.com I don't buy anything online through them. Just click on the emails that they send me and the occasional easy point programs that they have like clipping coupons, etc. I have cashed out 3 Shell gas cards this year so far and in December I will be able to cash out another.

PineCone, which everyone has already talked about. I joined in August and have received two $3 checks so far and another is on the way.

Zoom Panel http://www.zoompanel.com/
I just in August and cash out 1000 points for a DVD for my children for Christmas.

I think that e-rewards has different programs/prizes depending on what you signed up for. I am a member, but the only choices I can get is money in my Upromise account. I do not have the option of any gift cards at all. Maybe this is why you have different rewards available from the other person. Just a possibility.

That could be, I emailed them and asked them if they offered Target GC and all they said is that they are working on adding items to their choices...nothing specific. I wish they would offer something else, the money in that account only stays for 1 year, I have about 100 dollars in there. There is nothing that I want from all the choices I have.

They do offer a sweepstakes entry now for the household surveys- did you notice that. I agree with VanillaBean- Pinecone has been very good to me, it's still the most reliable. Some of the others you answer alot of questions and then find out you don't qualify. You know that when Pinecone sends you a regular survey you will get the $3 for it (and maybe get to try something).

I did notice that and I would really like to see a list of winners. I have never seen them post one.

Even MySurvey has changed, they are so slow sending the payments now. They use to send them really fast. I have been with them for over 30 years.

I signed up for pinecone fromthis link on the 13th and I have not heard back from them. How long does it take to hear back from them. Do the e-mails comefrom pinecone?

For those of you that are members of e-rewards. When your expiration date is coming up, do you get an e-mail reminding you that your money is going to expire?

I always got an email stating they were going to expire and they were letting me roll them over.

I didn't see a reminder and my points expired. I contacted them and asked them what happened to my points? (I didn't know that they expired). They did me a favor and re-instated them- THANK GOODNESS! I have to be more careful with that.

I have been a member of this program for six years now. I either get an e-mail warning that my points will expire or that I took so many surveys that they will roll my current rewards into the next year. My husband joined last January so feb. 1st they took 75% of his rewards away. They did not give him notice at all. He e-mailed and eventually they rewarded him back all his rewards. I have read on other forums that even though in the past they warned people their points were going to expire or extend the year. They haven't been this year and people are mad.

I participate in the Lightspeed panel and have had no problems redeeming my points. However, I have only redeemed my points for Amazon gift codes which are sent to my email address almost immediately after redeeming the points.

You could start a new thread in this section. It would probably catch someone's attention better. Just put the name of the site in the title.;)

I wish I could tell you something about it, but I can't:confused:

Pinecone pays via Pay Pal, but you need a referral.
Viewpoint is by referral, but right now, the referral program has temporarily been suspended. I just joined Viewpoint recently from a referral from someone here, just did an online Focus Group discussion the other day which paid 750 points...700 = $20.00 so that was a good one! MySurvey is a good site, but they do not pay via Pay Pal yet.

just received my first check from surveyspot.com ...i rarely do the surveys when the emails arrive so i am always late in getting in on the ones with money but I received $8 check today which was something nice to open the mailbox to... so all in all I can say that surveyspot.com is actually legitimate, i was hesitant at first but the check does arrive and actually arrives quickly, only took a week and a half from the day I requested it.

Hi everyone-
I'm sorry to ask such a stupid question, but I can't seem to figure it out on my own--I am interested in joining my view and erewards, but it appears as though you can only sign up for both of these by referral?? Is that correct?
If so, is there a way to get a referral to these?
Thanks in advance for your help with my ignorance :)

Well, you would simply declare it as other income on your 1040.

Now, if you do a lot..........or like me, combine it w/mystery shopping......
I actually fill out SCH C.......for independent contractor.......I list all my income from mystery shops/surveys.........then deduct mileage, business expenses........i.e. internet charges, paper, ink, etc.
the final figure....would be business loss or gain I put on 1040.

I would imagine you would have to really be earning a lot to justify being an independent contractor for just online surveys..........

I have updated my original post a little again. Recently Your2Cents and Greenfield have merged with Toluna. Has anyone used Toluna before and have an opinion it?

Pinecone is still the best IMO. Anyone have an update on what their favorite is nowadays?

MyPoints is still my favorite click-to-earn site. Anyone else's opinions?
