HI all.
I don't know about you, but I love make up. I don't really wear it that often, but it doesn't mean that I don't have my fair share. I was wondering if there are any tricks to keep liquid foundation on your skin. I wiped my nose the other day, and it was all foundation on the kleenex.
And has anyone used the bare minerals? I would love to try it out. I would like feedback on that...
see ya later..:D

My daughter and I have been using Bare Minerals for about 6 months now... and it is the best decision I ever made. It is the greatest makeup. Although a little more expensive, it is definitely worth it.

I have always heard good things about bare minerals.I think I might of even tried some samples once. Right now i'm an avon girl I love the anew clinical and for makeup I use avons beyond control. I'm sure theres better but this works for me. My foundation is beyond control also I do get a little rub off on tissues but its not bad.

I have not tried Bare MInerals but beware of the other companies selling mineral make up. I went tot he mall with my daughter about a week ago and one of those stands in the middle of the mall was selling Mineral Make up. They do the whole try it on for free thing. OMG this stuff was terrible. My skin looked like I had some sort of "condition" when she was done. I had to find a bathroom to reapply my own poweder just to get the horrible feeling off my face.
I would love to get ahold of a sample of the Bare Minerals to give it a try.

I saw that cover girl has a new product. trublend powder with minerals. I think that this is more within my budget. Has anyone tired this yet? Does it compare to bare minerals? I guess that I am after that natural "no make up" look. Something nice for summer. Thanks all.:)

Sorry, I haven't tried Cover Girl's Mineral Makeup--but I'm planning on trying it. So far I have tried Nutregena's and Loreal's Minerals Foundation and liked them both. Neutrogena seemed a little more sheer while Lorea's version seemed to give a bit more coverage--both seemed to stay on a long time. I really like them both. I tried Avon's and am not as crazy about it because it seems to come off easier.

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between these mineral products and the others?

The better mineral makeups do not contain talc. That's what makes them better than the cheaper versions.

I love Bare Minerals!!! I bought the kit at first. This way you get get brushes and enough product to see if it is for you. I have been using it for 2 years now and would not go back to liquid foundation. It works well in the AZ heat. I am 50 and thought it might not be for me. I was wrong.

Can you buy Bare Minerals other than off the TV or Internet? I guess I am asking, do any stores provide this make up?
Thanks...:D

HI All,
I just purchased the CG Tru powder blend. I'm not sure about it. I think that I like it. I am so use to liquid foundation. I just wonder how long will it last? Has anyone tried the mousse foundation? I thought that was interseting. BUT, I forgot the masscara. I can't leave the house without that one!:D

Sephora stores sell it. They also sell on the internet. $75 orders and up are free shipping. I like to shop in town at Ulta. The kits by Bare Minerals are great because you get to try alot of different products. Their stuff goes a long way.

I didn't know if I should start a new thread for this....
But here I go anyway... Does anyone have any tips for curling eyelashes? It's not like I don't have any, it's just they won't curl. I could curl them, and they are still straight. For once I would like to have this work. Tips would be great...
Thanks;)

You need a heated eyelash curler to make it hold the curl. Lacking that, try heating your eyelash curler with a short blast with the hair dryer. Be real careful with that, though. It gets too hot real fast! Lately, I've taken to holding my curler under the hot water for a little bit, then quickly blot off the water and curl your lashes. It works really well!

HOLY COW, your telling me that they make a heated eyelash curler? That is unreal. For $5 I am willing to give that a try. My sister in law told me about that. I thought that she was lying as usual...
Thanks

I've been using Bare Escentuals for nearly two years now and I will never go back to anything else! I've always used the basic liquid foundation like Cover Girl, Avon or Almay in the past, for nearly 20 years and I still can't believe how much I love BE products. Look for a BE store or a Sephora and have them do a make over for free to try it out.

Hi Chalytown, you mentioned wanting to try minerals makeup. Another poster mentioned Everyday Minerals having a Free Sample so I went to www.everydayminerals.com and if you go to kits the free kit is there. You only pay shipping 3.95 (unless you want to ship faster) and you pick 3 different foundation samples, 1 blush, and a concealer. I sent for it a couple of days ago and it's already been shipped--I'm just waiting to get it in the mail--can't wait! :D

Hi I just rec'd mine in the mail about 2 days ago and really like them (coverage is good and stays on all day). They only charged me for shipping--I doublechecked my credit card to make sure so cost was only 3.97. I got 5 pots total--I'm not sure how much is in each one-but I'd compare it to those tubs of chapstick you can buy (like carmex). I got 3 foundations, 1 concealer, and 1 blush--really nice that I got to pick out the colors I wanted so I knew they'd match my skin tone. They also sent a color chart in my package that give you a better idea of the color choices (on website it's a little harder to tell). I definetly plan on ordering from them again:D .

I have my eyelashes permed! I don't have to worry about having to drag the curler out each morning and losing lashes. It lasts for about 4 months and really does make a difference!!!

And here I thought I had heard of everything. Where do you get this done, and how much does it cost?
Why do people use an eyelash curler anyway? It's something I've never been able to figure out.

I use a heated curler because my eyelashes are very uncontrolable. they point any way they want.Mascara freezes them in those odd directions! Curling them get my to stay in place.
Hmm perm my eylashes I'm not sure what to think about that! lol!

If you ever decide to try it get a heated curler.I only paid $4.99 from avon for this one, it makes it so simples. i'm still thinking about that perm. I think thats a little to close to my eye for comfort. I would have to pass!!

I get my eye lash perms at a skin salon (facials, waxing, etc.) but I also know beauticians who are licensed to do it. It costs me about $40, but to me it is worth it. My lashes are so blonde and short. When I apply my mascara to the curled lashes they really stand out.
The process is a lot like getting your hair permed. It also doesn't irritate my eyes and I am a contact lens wearer.

I just use a regular metal one - and run it under hot water!! Works really well!

I did this - and realized once I recieved it that the seller packaged it themself and you do not get as much in the jar!! pooey - but I love bare minerals and I did find a seller who sells the real thing for about $15 and it lasts forever - so thats a good deal!!
I will never use liquid foundation again!!

I have been reading all the posts, and I just have to give my opinion on Bare Escentuals Minerals.I have tried every Make up that is in the market, I have also been an Avon Rep off and on for 25 years, I have never ever found a true match for my skin tone till Bare Minerals. I bought my first kit from Sephora ($60) 2 years ago, and it has been worth every penny. It used to be a chore when I had to put on the Liquid, but I look forward to the new looks I can create with these Minerals, I can't wait to put it on, it is so much fun, I always do something different, you never have the oily shine or have to retouch, it is a miracle. My favorites are Summer Bisque(sort of a concealer) and Clear Radiance a finishing touch, and Bare Radiance to give a little shimmer and light bronzing. Try it I know you will Love it.
