I usually buy whatever I can find on clearance at Target. However, I will only wear CoverGirl Outlast lipstick, and I LOVE Merle Norman's Sheer face powder. I love the way it looks, and a container of that powder will last me for years.

after years of trying just about every type of foundation and having bad luck with all of them, i broke down and went into Macy's and tried the Origins brand of foundtation. I love it I wont use anything else. everytime i try to save money and use a cheaper item i regret it. all the rest of my makeup is what ever i can get ahold of cheap. I do like the E L F lip gloss.

There is a face powder that is made by Origins that I love! It comes in a neutral shade and the powder blends with your skin tone!

LOVE IT!

I love Prescriptives face powder - don't wear foundation, so need good powder (tried some cheaper stuff, settles in the lines around my eyes - DON'T WANT THAT) and their lipstick. Maybelline makes my favorite undereye concealer. But the best I find is the Prescriptive Super Line Preventer Face Serum - sets a great base for my skin and makeup. Oh and the CoverGirl Mascara that has the clump free rubber like brush, latest they put out, is awesome.

Online and I think in certain spas (ha ha I don't have any spas around me so order my stuff online!). Here's the link.

If you go to Custom Kits you can get a Free Sample Kit (3 sample size foundations, 1 sample size concealer, and 1 blush) just have to pay 3.97 in shipping. Great way to try it out w/o committing to a big purchase

That's great! I hope you like them. If you've never used mineral makeup before it takes a little practice to get used to it, but it's the only thing I'll wear now and once you get the hang of it it's a breeze to apply and don't have to worry about cakiness like regular foundation. I'm currently getting addicted to their eye shadows--STARRY NIGHT is great! LOL I need a 2nd job to support my makeup fix! Enjoy!!!!

I bought a mineral makeup brush from Avon a few months ago and apply the foundation and blush w/it. I think if you just have a big fluffy makeup brush it would work too but maybe wouldn't blend as well.

Can you buy it without commiting to getting it sent every 2 months? I buy Bare Essentuals and buy as I go. It lasts forever, but the Sheer Cover looks so good, but I don't think I could use it up so fast.

You do not have to committ to every 3 months. What I did is let them know when I will need it again by giving them a call. I bought mine from an actual Sheer Cover stand in the mall and they gave me really good tips on how to re-order.

Clinique often has events where you get your eyes or lips done and get free samples just for getting the makeover. I am sure they want you to buy something ,but you don't have to. It is a great way to try something new items and different stores offer different samples. :)

A long time ago, someone had gave me some Clinique lipstick and I loved it. They said they got it as a gift for buying something Clinique. I have never bought any Clinique items before, but I bet they are good. I should try to do that, thanks for the info!

I would like to find a good foundation that covers up my scars from zits when I was a teenager! The Cover Girl Tru Blend works really great...but it wears off quick for me!

Clinique usually runs a little more than Mary Kay ,but it is the number 1 store sold brand in cosmetics and skin care. It is also allergy tested ,most makeups are hypo-allergenic ,but not allergy tested. They test a group of people and if anyone has a problem it goes back to lab.

Also is if you shop during bonus time they offer a free gift with your purchase. There is a min. purchase ,but I am not sure what it is.

I sold Mary Kay for a few years. I really didn't like the feel of the foundation---it was too heavy and the second in the line was too chalky and didn't feel good on my skin. Their cleansing program is very good, but after having my director tell me to book more skin care classes as I was going through a nasty divorce, I wrote it all off. I felt like I was another dollar sign. :(

Dh said what do you think that is going to cover....I said watch.....I was amazed on how good this stuff is! and using so little.....it really does what it says it does...makes your skin so even in color, even Dh said wow that really worked...so thank you to the person who posted the sample to try out...I am sold on this stuff, and will buy this again for sure.

I don't use foundation or powder or alot of goop on my face. However, I love Wet n Wild or Jordana brand eyeliner...they don't make my eyes burn like the pricey stuff does!!! Eye shadow, I buy whatever I have a coupon for, and use Wet n Wild mascara. I love Jordana lip gloss. It is $1.99 for a tube in Walgreens, and it lasts a good long time...I lick my lips, and this stuff does not budge. Love the red gloss...called Gorgeous, and the neutral Babe... made in the USA, and makes my lips look even better than they already do, if I may be so immodest to say!
