I know we've got bunches of games laying around the house - anyone ever use the game swapping sites to trade?

Question, wouldn't it cost you more to ship a game then to buy a new one? Shipping costs have gone up alot, plus the drive to the PO to send it.

I'm not sure, but around me, games are usually at least $25 even at the used store, so I figured that even if a game costs $4 to ship, I might save $20 or so??? My math might be off, but I figured $4 would be about as high as a game would go (the size of a dvd).
Oh - I was thinking video games . . . . . but board games might be fun - those i think would be cheaper to buy at the store. :)

Ok, my mistake, I was thinking about games that are in a box, DVD's can ship media mail for less than $2.00....last time I mailed one it was $1.59...but you have to tell the PO person it is media mail. Yup I agree that would be a good deal then......

I either sell our used games on eBay (depends on how much they are selling for), or we trade them at a store here called Vintage Stock.

Carol is right, you can send games via Media Mail for really cheap.

There are also places like Electronics Boutique and Game Stop that will buy back your used games. You can get a store credit for the purchase of new games and I've always had success with them.

Goozex.com trades games. If they are the little games for nintendo Ds/psp, the postage is only about 2 stamps.

There is a whole thread about Goozex that Lynne started in the "Other Free Stuff" section. I will bump it back to the top for you.

I use goozex I really like the site alot, but alot of the games I am looking for are alot of points or a long wait.I also buy and sell on ebay. I am trying to get a collection of video games together to start an online video store.

I have used Goozex in the past, but not in a while. I got two games from there and it worked out good. I also sent one game out. That didn't go so well. The person never responded, but Goozex gave me my points anyways. I won't send out another game.
