These things are awesome! They look just like burning candles when they're on but are much safer, and they smell great. Best of all unlike lots of other air fresheners that you can only smell when you're right next to them these make the whole room smell fresh!:)

I must say, these are pretty cool, especially since I got them for $.99 at Target a week ago. However, I will NEVER be able to give up my candles! My husband threatened to count them one day when I brought home 2 new ones. He said I have about 1000 of them. I laughed and said there was no way, he then threatened to count and said that if he was closer than I was, he got to throw them all out! (I obviously didn't take him up on his challenge!) :o

I knew it was bad when my Dad come to visit for Christmas last year and a neighbor had given me a candle for a gift. My Dad rolled his eyes, and said "Jeez...just what you need!" I have them all over the house (which is not the problem) and I have 6 drawers full of them (the problem)! I just can't help myself!

Anyone else candle crazy????

Anyone else candle crazy????

me me me!
I can only burn them when I'm in the same room though - you never know when my cat will decide to jump up on stuff!! I therefore have a lot of unused candles sitting around or in drawers, and haven't really bought any for a while.
I haven't tried the Flameless candles yet, I was fearing they would cost too much, but it would be ideal for the kitty environment... I did recently buy one of those warmers to sit them on, but for some reason I haven't yet found one of the larger jar candles that I like enough to spend the $$ on (got the warmer for 99 cents :) )... tried a smaller candle on it, but I guess it just doesn't warm right when part of the warmer surface is exposed.

You only have 6 drawers full, lol I have a chest of drawers just for candles, that one only has 4 drawers, then I have a cabinet that has 5 shelves that are full, this is not counting the ones I have in the closet here in my computer room, plus a big box of floating candles, that must have altleast 300 in there give or take a few.............I am a candle nut too, I cannot go shopping without picking up something new.....I have theme candles for every holiday, ones with bamboo on them, flowers in them, coffee beans on them...........you name it...I have it, lol it is a sickness and there is no cure for it!! enjoy them!

OK guys --Got you beat on this one;)

I do have thousands--literally

I'm already a candle freak to start with, then I have my massage office in my home, which of course is filled with candles. When I had to paint the entire inside of my home because of the black film/soot/carbon/smoke-whatever it is, that you get from burning cheap candles, I decided to get better quality ones.

There are many good quality ones, but a friend of mine had just started selling partylite--so I had a couple parties for her. I love their candles and no matter how many you burn you don't smoke up the walls.

Well, when you burn as many as I do, especially with having clients here everyday, it gets expensive. So---I decided that I would start selling them. With my bright ideas and stockpiling mentality, I decided it would be a good idea to keep the candles in stock. I let people mix and match their dozens when they buy them. I was going to only sell the candles, but people had a big interest in the holders and accessories. Goodbye garage!!

I do my partylite shopping like I do my rebate/coupon shopping. If it is a really good deal, I get it even if I don't need it yet.

Well, needless to say, my house runneth over, and my garage runneth over. I could not even begin to tell you. But, I do make decent money with them, I never run out, and my house always smells good. When you have this many you don't even have to burn them to smell them:eek:

And, to top it off, what do you think people buy for me for a gift?????

I use a candle warmer (actually, mine is a mug warmer) with a ramekin, or with a silicone cupcake cup (found some at the local dollar store). I put wax tarts in the ramekin. Those are usually pretty inexpensive, you can try all the different scents, and half a tart is usually plenty. If you can't find wax tarts, you can use votive candles or tealights. Just pull out the wick & wick holder, and take off the metal or plastic cup if there is one. If you use the silicone cupcake cup, you can let the wax solidify when the scent is used up, and turn it inside out to dump the wax. This scents my whole first floor.

Great idea, thanks! :) :)
I actually went to a festival at a nearby town a couple days ago and found a great Gardenia scented large candle for my warmer! :) (Too bad I'm all stuffed up and can't smell it very well right now :p ) But those tarts are usually a lot cheaper, and I know of a couple places to buy those.

I didn't like the Flameless Candle. I LOVE the idea of it, I just thought it smelled awful. I too was a candle nut until my 3 sons were born, enough said. I always have one burning in the kitchen on the stovetop. I actually e-mailed Glade from their website and they are sending me a refund. Vanilla is my favorite scent, but I did not like theirs at all. ANyone try the linen scent? Are there others? my area only had the 2.

Yes!! Good quality candles are wonderful! I stockpile them!! :) Similar to you, I've got drawers and drawers . . . and boxes and boxes . . . . I really do need to stop picking them up, maybe start giving a few away as gits with pretty candle holders . . . . .

Love the smell, and I just feel more relaxed when a candle is burning! Plus - you never know when the power will go out!!

I love them! I have always been a bit "paranoid" about burning candles... this gives the illusion of a candle, and the wonderful scent... with no danger! I have bought two!:)

I absolutely LOVE the idea of candles but am a little (well actually a lot) fire phobic, so while I had at least 15 candles sitting around, I never burned them. A few years ago my MIL bought me an apple scented candle, and a candle warmer base, while we were eating lunch at Bob Evans. I was hooked, a candle being warmed smells yummy! Then on my birthday (about 14 months ago) someone got me a warming crock from Hallmark. Wow! I now have three of these total, plus two bases, and I love having the candles on.:D

I am also totally hooked on the Glad Flameless Candles! I gave these for gifts even! They smell wonderful and look amazingly real! They are peaceful when relaxing, and a bit romantic too... all without danger...LOL! :p

Sam's had some right after Christmas ( was shopping with my newly aquired $100.00 Sam's Gift Card gift that I received) ... a pack that held one candle and three refills for under $10.00! I got two spare sets (and have two on the coffee table already)! Those of you that love them might want to check your local Sam's!
