Hey Carol, it's also called a memory stick, thumb drive, flash drive, etc. You use it to store data, and since it's so portable, it's very handy to use to carry information around. My Art History professor carries hers on a lanyard she wears around her neck. :) My hubby and I have both used ours for school work. My hubby has used his a lot for Power Point presentations. I guess you can say it is the modern floppy disk, except you use the USB port on your computer to transfer the data.

Do you do rebates? Not sure if you have an Office Depot near you, but occasionally, they put one on sale that ends up being free after rebate. I've gotten two this way. Also, if you have a Target, keep your eye out for one on the clearance aisles. I found one recently at Target marked down to $3.24.

i work at target in the electronics dept, and we had a huge clearance sale in our store these past 6 weeks, because we had a transistion. i personally bought a 69,99 sony liv radio for 17.44 and i love it
i try not to spend money, since if i start, i will use all my paycheck, go to target soon, and see if theres anything left, there arent too many things left at our store
