I'd like to know how everyone else mops their floors? Do you use a regular mop/bucket? Swiffer wetjet? Anyone tried the Target IMOP?

I clean my grandfathers house once a week and he hast he swiffer wet jet. I used it the first time and I refuse to use it again. All it did was turn the dirt on the floor to mud and smear it around. (dont picture glops of mud on the floor, not quite what I mean). I had to reclean what the swiffer "cleaned". At home I use a scrub brush, bucket of pine sol. Fortunatlly I dont have a very big kitchen lol.

I use a regular swiffer with the dry cloths and then with the wet cloths for quick clean ups during the week. For a more thorough, deeper cleaning, I use a sponge mop and a bucket. I just don't have the time to get down on my hands and knees and scrub, and as long as I keep up with it and don't let it get dirty, I don't feel like I need to.

I grew up watching my mom get down on her hands and knees every week. I think I did that once. I usually just use a sponge mop and a bucket with Mr. Clean or Lysol cleaner. My problem is getting up those scuff marks left behind by the kitchen chairs. Does anyone know what I mean?

I used to use my Hoover Electric Scrubber until something plugged it up (ummm. . .probably dog and cat hair!) and I'd have to take the entire thing apart to fix. It worked great on linolium but not so well on tile with grout around it due to the slight uneveness between the grout and tile.
I switched back to my Swifter Mop and love it!
LOL, about 2 weeks ago I got down on my hands and knees with my toothbrush, Mean Grean, and a water pail and scrubbed the grout around my ceramic tile. Guess what???? In 2 days it looked like crap again.

I bought a swiffer regular a while back then I thought I'd like the swiffer max better so I bought that...well as it turns out, I don't like either of them so I went back to squeeze mop... and I only use Spic and Span on the vinyl floor now too, it makes it look shiney.
I have a small area with laminate wood floor, I just damp mop it.
I also bought that "carpet flick" that was a waste of money too.

Gee, I love my Swiffer, please send all your rejects to me, lol I wish I could get down on my hands and knees to do the floors, but can't anymore, so I have settled for and love that swiffer!!

I do the old fashion, hands and knees. BUT I do love my swiffer dry for the hardwood floors, and a quick clean! If I know that company is coming, I want to get those dust bunnies before they attack someone!:D

When I had pergo floors I used the swiffer wet jet. But we have moved and have the original hardwood floors. And I use orange glo now.

Are they sealed or have they been waxed and if so, with what? That can make a huge difference. Once I tried the swiffer wood floor cleaner on top of the Orange Glo in the green bottle that leaves a film, and let me tell you...WHAT A MESS! I had to strip the entire floor and rewax. I used Quick Shine from Wally World and they also have a cleaner, so I felt better knowing there wouldn't be an interaction.
As far as scrubbing the kitchen floor, I use my Bissell Steam Mop and LOVE it! Then once a month or so, I get down on my knees and scrub around the baseboards, where nothing can reach.

Does the windex make your floor slippery?
I use a Libman mop and bucket to wash the kitchen floor. It works great! I refuse to use a swiffer wet jet, I read somewhere it is not safe to use if you have animals. I don't know how true this is or not true.

Right now I'm living in an apartment so floors aren't that big. I'm on hands and knees with antibacterial windex. We're moving into our new house next month with hardwood floors not sure how to clean them yet....

The old fashion way. On my hands and knees with a hot bucket water and lysol floor cleaner?

We mop the very old fashioned way--with a commercial restaurant style big yellow mop bucket and wringer, a good quality cotton loop mop, hot water, and trusty Spic and Span.

I have a Hoover Floor Mate. I luv this toy! After reading all the pros & cons on Amazon I bought it & kept the packing box (just in case), the Floor Mate has been with me for 7 yrs now. One hint for this toy is HOT tap water. The new cleaning solution (FloorMate Floor-to-Floor) for this product lets you go from your kitchen floor to your hard wood floors. You would think since I claim I luv this toy I would clean my kitchen floor every week...HA!

It sounds great!
I have kids and dogs, so when I do mop my floor, it stays clean about 30 seconds. And that's if I'm lucky! I should probably mop every day, but who wants to do that?

I use a regular pail and old mop that you wring out. I think it cleans better.

I clean for a living and have tried everything. I use a good old fashioned cotton mop with a bucket of hot water and Fabuloso (smells very good) In bathrooms I use a wet cloth and antibacterial spray on my hands and knees.

My maids do it. They do the "on the knees and scrub" way.
