My favorite is Hell's Kitchen. I love the fact that Chef Ramsey isn't afraid to 'say it like it is' and upholds his strict kitchen standards regardless of worrying over hurt feelings and overinflated egos. It's refreshing to see such pride in one's work - although I'm not impressed by his language, but that's just his style. And obviously it works.
I have also enjoyed many of the shows on PBS - including their own reality show (of course I can't recall the name). Unfortunately they don't seem to show them as much as they used to. I don't subscribe to cable so I'm limited to what rabbit ears can bring me.

I love Paula Deen, I can relate to her, in age and size, lol and I love to cook. I am Rachael Ray-ed out, she is so hyper, bless her! but she does have some good ideas, and I like Michael Chiarello, and Giada DeLaurentis, good food!!

I love Alton Brown and Good EAts! I can actually duplicate what he does in my own kitchen and I really love the science part of cooking. My kids love him too, they get interested in cooking when they watch him and I have even seen them apply some of the science to other things. IT'S GREAT!

I too like Paula Deen, she not afraid to eat what she just made. I also like the fact that she's sloppy about it too! :D

I do like paula but I have to say one thing I demo at walmarts one day a week and right above me is a t.v. well this plays a paula dean clip. The one at christmas really got on my nerves over how she says pecans and I say pecons.Well now theres a new one since the first of the year.the clip just makes me ill.:) we all know her love of butter.
This one goes on about her husband wants a grilled sandwich and believe it or not even paula runs out of butter so she makes a grilled sandwich with mayonaise which I'm sure its good. But when I listen to it over and over for 4 hours I really think my arteries are clogging just listening to it.
I do love her and her show but I really could live without those ads. I probably would never have noticed but I stand under it.next time your in walmarts take a moment to see whats playing on yours. :)

My favorite shows are (in no particular order):
Barefoot Contessa
Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller
Nigella Feasts
Guy's Big Bite
My husband and I have actually made some things from Rachael Ray's show and they turned out pretty good. She's too darn perky and she gets on my nerves when I watch her a lot of the time, but she does come up with some great recipes - even if I can't make them in 30 minutes. LOL It gets on my nerves so bad when she makes up her own words for items, like "stoup" and "spoonula" and has to explain what they mean just about every time she says the word. By now, I also know what EVOO is, I don't need her to explain it every time she says it. It kind of takes away from using the abreviation if she's going to tell you what the letters stand for every single time she says it.
We have also tried making some things from Paula Deen's show, but everything we made turned out just awful. We followed the directions all the way, but everything still turned out terrible! We don't even care to watch Paula Deen's shows anymore. She seems like a really nice and fun lady, but we don't want to waste our time or ingredients making food that doesn't taste good. I know what you mean mom363546, I can also feel my arteries clogging when I watch her show.

so many choices on that one. I love Paula Deen (she reminds me of one of my gradmas), Rachel Ray and I also like Robin Millers show. I think Robin Millers show is nice that she gives you ideas for two or three meals using left overs from the original main item.

Barefoot Contessa
I like a few of her recipes, but I think she is snobby, I guess it's the way she talks, and her Jeffery, lol the chicken lover....I do admit that I love her recipe for Onion Soup, I have made it many times and it tastes soooo good, I guess cause of all the booze in it, but it is so flavorful.....My fav is Paula Deen, a down to earth person.

:D Well, at the top of the list is the Southern queen of homeyness.....Miss Paula Deen!!! That woman is so enchanting and has craziness in her, too. Hubby Dearest always knows when I've watched Paula because I go to the kitchen and start talking like her. Since I was raised in Atlanta, GA, it doesn't take long to slip into the Southern drawl, y'all.
Next are the following: Road Tested, Unwrapped, Food Finds, and Guy's show DRIVE-INS, DINERS, AND DIVES. I like Alton Brown's GOOD EATS because of the chemical teaching. I like to know why things happen to foods.
I've thought of starting my own show. I'll call it: "Unwrapped food finds of road tested drive-ins". "Food Fight Concoctions" might be a good one for teens and college-age kids.:p
