My hubby has got to be one of the hardest people to please on his bday!!!! He doesn't want me to buy anything for him....(he has everything)....but he wants me to "surprise him" with something special.............okay ~ HELP.....I really can't afford anything like a trip, etc.......thought about the whole romantic thing.....but he really isn't much into romance...I am at a loss ladies.......anything funny - that would surpise and 'shock' him.any good ideas...please, please, please let me know - his b day is on tuesday ~ I have one week..........

ps ~ he got me a "chopard" watch for my b day in June.....how can I compete with that?

Is their any s*xual fantasies he has that you have not done with him? That's a thought. Maybe his favorite meal and waiting on him hand and foot all evening. That would really shock the beetles out of my hubby.

Have a massage therapist come to your house. Only you know if he would go for that...but that's what I do. There is always someone looking for the gift for the person that has everything.....

Another idea that I've done. Rent a limousine for the minimum time and send him on a scavenger hunt that will end at a hotel room with you waiting...and the rest of the gift is up to you......;)

Since we don't know your husband, meaning his likes or dislikes, how about this idea, have you ever just written in a card all the things you love about your husband? sometimes the simple things mean more than anything, because it comes from your heart....now the other ideas here are all great ideas but this is just an extra one to consider.

Wendy, my hubby's birthday is next Tuesday too! You and I are both in the exact same boat. My hubby is hard to buy for because he doesn't really want anything! He's got to be the most non-materialistic person I know. He's going to college right now to be an accountant (graduates 12/08), so my kids and I have bought him a tie. But, we feel like that's so lame! LOL!

It must be the Leo in general...lol --- the ladies have given me some food for thought, but good grief, why must they be so difficult????

Nope - he went through a camping phase a few years ago. Right now all he seems to do is work work work!!! :(

I got it. How about you paste together a small album or video(if you have it) of funny stuff of both you to reminise and maybe eat outside on the porch with his favorite food (weather permitted). You don't need to compete with him just because he got you something. Just give him all of your attention and love. Or get him a shocking or funny t-shirt.

Hope that helps.

PS. That's true it is hard to get something for men. If they said they don't want anything is they are telling the truth.

Ive always thought a nice money clip with his name engraved is a nice cheap gift. or take his car and clean it out from head to toe or have it detailed. that is what my boyfriend likes the most.

Here's a some ideas...
Look online for that candy he remembers eating as a child...I can't remember the website(s) that sell nostalgic candy but they're out there.
Draw a coupon type piece of paper for a free foot massage and back scratch.
My hubby would love that one...
Tickets to a comedy club or buy that DVD collector series he's always wanted.
Hire a lawn care guy for a month.
