Underwriters Laboratories public notice--split into two posts to accommodate post image restrictions:
UL warns of portable lamps and ceiling lamps with unauthorized UL Marks
Northbrook, Ill., USA - Oct. 1, 2009 - Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying consumers that the Portable Lamps and Ceiling Lamps, identified below, bear unauthorized UL Listing Marks for the United States and Canada. These products have not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standards for safety for the United States and Canada, and are not authorized to bear the UL Mark. It is unknown if these products comply with United States or Canadian safety requirements.
Name of product: Portable Lamp: Models 56151 & 56155; Ceiling Lamp: Model DE2207
Number of units: 225 portable lamps and 160 ceiling lamps were produced.
Manufacturer: Lucky Land Handicrafts Co Ltd MinHou FuJian, China
Date of manufacture: August 2008
