I need to know if any one home school and want you use or do you go though a program ? How do work it and if your child was in public school did you see a change in him or her ?Thank You Helen

Hey Helen--

We have homeschooled since ds was in preschool (he was a very early reader). We used Five in a Row and loved it for pre-K and Kindergarten. Last year for first grade we used a lot of highly rated curricula but most of it was not a great fit for us. This year for the first time we are using Sonlight. So far it seems to be an incredible fit for us--lots of great books, he reads to himself and I read older age level books to him aloud, and the history/reading/geography all fits together and the flow is great. We are using Saxon Math and love it, and A Reason for Handwriting along with Sonlight's excellent language arts program.
