UNDECLARED MILK IN HAITAI AND LOTTE BRANDS OF COOKIE / CRACKER FROM KOREA
OTTAWA, August 14, 2009 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to milk not to consume Haitai and Lotte brands of Cookie / Cracker described below. These products contain milk which is not declared on the label.
All codes of the following products, imported from Korea, are affected by this alert. Product information can be found on the package and the sticker applied for the Canadian market.

Lotte / ZEC Original Cracker / Cookie (Zec) / 100 g / 8 801062 246991
These products are known to have been distributed in Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick. However, they may have been distributed nationally.
There have been no reported allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
The importer is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
