I'm just happy that someone else likes hockey. No one I know likes it or even gives it a chance!
Lets just hope your wings and my Devils, don't have to face each other... Don't want your goalie to break a hip!!!:p

I LOVE hockey! Although my Pens are out of the playoffs already...I still had a GREAT time watching how far they came this year!! Sid the kid is the best player and he is only going to get better. So since my beloved team is out...I will route for Buffalo!

It's great to see hockey fans unite. I would love to see the Devils go all the way, but I think that Ottawa will kick them out, (like they did they Pens:( ) So I too am going with the Sabers....:D My game starts in 20 minutes....

I have several teams that I follow. I live in Alaska (and we attend all of the Alaska Anchorage college games), but am from northern NY - so I like both Buffalo and NY, and since Scott Gomez is from Alaska I like New Jersey. I alslo have a soft spot for San Jose since Alaskan Matt Carle plays for them.

The odds of ONE team I like winning are pretty good!

I have been a huge Devils fan since the first time I saw them play and almost got hit in the face with a puck. How can you not love a sport with so much excitement! Now I'm a Devil's fan in Cane Country (Carolina Hurricanes). Been to a few games here in NC, but it's not the same as going to a game in Rutherford. I do hope the Devil's win this year. Would love to see their names on the Stanley Cup again. Even got my husband into watching hockey and he loves it now and he cheers on the Devils! :D

SWEET, :D I am so happy that there are other Hockey fans. My family and I have arguements about sports at the holidays. They don't think that hockey is a REAL sport. They are football fans.

Saw my first Hockey game last month. Toronto @ NJ. I am (sorry) a Toronto fan first and foremost. Then NJ.
It was the best experience. My Husband and I got our moneys worth.
Kaberle, taken off the ice on a stretcher, it went to OT and then I got to see a shootout. It was a real nail biter.

I love the Devils, Gomez is awesome... But he is no Madden and Janssen. I like the fighters!:p

Hey, don't get me wrong, I love everything about hockey. The one timers, awesome saves, just the plain skill and talent. But those guys can get the crowd pumping!

I enjoy sitting back and watching the great saves of Brodeur. He is a fantastic goalie.

He is, but he sure has been flopping around a LOT in this series. I don't understand why his style has changed a bit.

Hi all...It seems that are wonderful Devils are not going to compete for the cup anymore. They got knocked out by Ottawa. I think that they played better tonite. Marty wasn't on his game.
I do have a bone to pick with the refs and linesmen. I saw plenty of penalties that should have been called. (on both teams!) icing, highsticking and being offside. I sure wish the Devils could have won one more in the Continental Airlines Arena.

I guess it's .... GO BUFFALO:o

Well, the stanley cup is under way. We have the Ducks and Senators. I really don't care for either team. But that doesn't mean that I won't watch. I guess that I will vote for the Sens. Only because that they are a East Coast team, and I like Dany Heatley.

Hey all..been with SS for years and just found this blog...I'm a HUGE hockey fan (STH of Minor AA team in FL)...Also a huge Devils fan. Got to see Marty Brodeur a few times this year, once play the Panthers and then twice in the quarter finals against the Bolts. (The night the Devils took the series at Ice Palace was one of them) Now it's go Ducks (Scott Niedermeyer=once a DEVIL always a DEVIL)...

Sooze you're from Alaska? Do you ever go see the Alaskian Aces play in Anchorage? They are an incredible team to watch, I've watched them live on the computer via B2 network...wow... The minor league team I follow is the Florida Everblades out of Ft. Myers area and both the Aces & the Blades play in the ECHL which is 2nd tier down from NHL...
I also love Scotty Gomez because during the shut out he played for the Alaskian Aces. He's a real nice guy and during warm up while playing the quarter finals at Tampa Bay recently I asked him for a puck which he so graciously flipped over the glas to me and.............gave me a bloody nose LOL I got the puck and the memories LOL...

SO..... What are we going to do if Scotty Gomez leaves the Devils? I read that he's up in July, and with the Salary cap, the Devils can't afford to keep him on. Do you think that they will make room for him? He'll go somewhere else? Where would you like to see him go?

Well. the DUCKs won, and I am not too happy about it. What am I going to do? The bigger question. What am I going to do until October? I guess that I could play roller hockey with Hubby. I still have the entry draft and awards. I am going to need a hockey fix!!!

We say that after the super bowl!! I love summer an all but...I sure do enjoy seeing preseason get near! After monday night football is done for the season were like now what?? thank heavens for wrestling.

we watch alot of sports and did see that hockey game but nfl is our fave we know how you feel at the end of the season!

About Scotty Gomez..rumor has it he may go to the "Blueshirts" but that would really put a strain on all Devils fans following him...to be a Ranger? UGH! (I'm also a Islander fan from way back..Mike Bossy #22 hence IcePrinceMB22....) We'll just have to wait and see comes July 1st where he lands. I personally think the Devils should choke up the money to keep him...there are a few on the team that could easily go and help with the salary cap while leaving Scotty right where he belongs...on the 1st line in a Devils jersey!

Oh it was tough to watch...When the wings had 2 of their guys plus their goal tender infront of the net, laying there...uh what can you expect? Then there was the wings guy standing infront of our goal tender so he couldn't see where the puck was...well, it was really tough...
I'm looking forward to a win tomorrow night...that's for sure :)
