anyone seen this movie???? Heard mixed reviews about it.
I want to take my 4 yr old grandson but also heard that some
parts might scare him or make him sad............dunno but I guess
it is 3D which might be a bit overwhelming. He has NEVER been
to a movie before and don't want to traumatize the little guy.
Last year, bought DVD of CARS and he didn't like the nighttime
tractor part where Mater and McQueen scared the tractors but
now.........he is okay with it PLUS he is a whole year older.
HELP!!! Any advice if you have seen the movie?

This is such an adorable movie. The 3D part should not be overwhelming for him because a lot of it was not in 3D (sounds weird I know). The only part that might scare him is the dogs. There are some dogs that like to show their teeth and chase things, but they really are harmless.
I think he would really like it. Parts of the movie have adult humor and I cried a couple times. The whole movie is about a love story that shows some sad parts.
I would definitely recommend for you and him!:D

Thank you so much.............I imagine as long as I interact with him........it should be okay.
I remember taking my son to see BABY over 20 years ago about dinosaurs.
In the beginning, the mommy died..............MY SON screamed 'His MOMMY DIED!" and started sobbing. I quickly took him to the bathroom and told him she didn't die, she just was sleeping. For the entire movie, he kept asking me when she was going to wake up.........

I can tell you that we took our 7yo to it, and when it was over, he said, "We are NOT going to buy this on DVD!"

I think it has great life lessons, it just had some scary moments with the dogs and the in-the-air stuff.....maybe just too melancholy overall. We own a lot of the Pixar movies and love them but he is just more of a happy boy, I think!

i got the dvd and watched it yesterday. i thought it was good. not going to be a classicbut i liked it. i thought the begining could have been longer and more detialed about the old dudes childhoof and the kid who was his annoying friend as a child (who i think is like pepermint pattyfrom charlie brown) didnt really have anything to do with anything other then giving the guy the bottle cap and the book and im still not sure why he got the book he just wound up with it.
the adventurer guy who was in the rainforest looking for the bird it kind of seemed weird he was on that island for 80 years and still couldnt catch a bird and he had to be like 150 at that point lol.
