Goodness - our heat index is about 98 degrees today  - and its been like that all week!! I love summer - and don't mind the heat, but humidity....yuck!! I shouldn't complain.....it's better than several feet of snow  and below zero wind chill factors  ...

What's your weather like???? Do you like it or hate it?? Favorite season? and why?

Oh, hush Carol! You haven't tried heat since you sprained your ankle. In central IL is it hot and humid; we can hear the corn growing; a sauna is cooler. Thank heavens for air conditioning. Kids even fussed with me about who was going to go out and walk 45 feet to the mailbox and back.

Well we had to take to cooking our eggs out on the sidewalk today. No sense in heatin' up the house! "Hey shut that door! You're letting all the cold air out!!!"
It's supposed to be in the upper 90's through August with heat indices in the 100+ range!! I would take Carol's weather in a heartbeat!! I think I need to move to Alaska!! I love the cold! It could be worse though! Last year we had water restrictions because of the droughts!

LOL. I was born in Chicago!!!! I remember the humidity as a kid and we didn't even have a fan let alone air conditioning! we lived in a house that was right next door to an apt. building, I can remember having the bedroom window open at night and the man next door's bedroom window was facing my bedroom window, now it was hotter than you know what and he would be in his bedroom hacking and hacking.....when your a kid it seems like it went on all night, but it was too hot to close that window...we moved to Calif. when I was just 12 but there are somethings you just never forget! lol Now you all stay back east, it is too expensive out here!!

LOL - you guys are making me laugh.....glad to know I'm not the only one who is putting the deodorant samples to good use!!! I just hope everyone is comfortable (me personally - I HATE air conditioning - but when my hubby is home, if its not on....OH BOY>>>>) We aren't scheduled to have a break in the heat for at least another week!!! Supposed to be at least 90 every day - not including the heat index!!

Let enjoy it before the snow flies!!!!

Not in Arizona. We are lucky to wear sweaters. 104 is mild here. It is when it hits 112 I can't stand it. We are in our monsoon season now with dust storms and humidty.

LOL - It has actually cooled off nicely tonight - I turned off the air conditioning! It is about 74 with a nice breeze.....hubby might not be happy, but I would rather sleep with no blanket, no sheets and no clothes  than burn up my electric bill....................

Here In Michigan we just got done with about 4 days of 90's with humidity and no rain- everything is so brown. Some areas have put water restrictions out already and some have banned watering your yard. Today it finally was in the mid 80's and tonight it dropped into the mid 60's which is great for sleeping. Hey- send us some rain...pleaseeeee??? LOL

It is hot and humid here in Tulsa, and the current temperature is 90°

I know that it could be better and it could be worse! We used to live in Yuma, AZ, and I loved the climate there. Most of the year, the temperatures were in the 70's. For a few months during the summer it got really hot, of course. But, the heat in AZ is a dry heat and much more tolerable than a humid heat.

We also used to live in Jacksonville, NC. The humidity there during the summer was awful; it would just suck the energy right out of you.

We're expecting record breaking heat this week with highs of about 100 and heat indexes of at least 110. It's supposed to "cool" off some on Thursday and our high is only supposed to be 93. Unfortunately, our lows are only projected to be about 77 - and it will take until just before the sun comes up to get that low.

Our "official" temperature comes from out near our airport though - and that's out in the sticks where there's hardly a sould around. I would imagine it will be much hotter than 100 here in the city with all of the people, traffic and buildings.

It's only 11:00 AM and it's currently 88 with 71% humidity and a heat index of 100 (again, that's way out in the sticks away from everything). :(

Our "break" is over - it is oppressive here today!! The humidity is so high it and the air feels so thick, it is almost hard to breathe!

But I am not going to complain (too much anyways!! lol) there will be 3 feet of snow  on the ground before long!

I'll take your snow and give you all the heat and humidity from the Midwest!! I prefer the cold weather way more than the heat!! I'll have to keep complaining about the heat since it will be this way for a while and school starts next week!! Good thing they have air conditioning in it!

It is 104 here in Birmingham, and that is NOT with the heat index! I dont know what it is with the index, have to see what they say on the news. But it is HOT HOT HOT! I will live with it though, because I hate cold weather. anything below 60 is cold to me! I am miserable from about November thru April. I am a true southerner!
