Those threads are stuck or pinned to the top of the page, so that they never go anywhere. They are always at the top, and they are on every web page. For example, scroll down and go to page 2. The sticky threads are on the top of page 2. It's just a handy way to keep certain threads front and center. :)

I was wondering how you determine what will be sticky? I assume it is the moderators who pick and choose that or is it the Admin? Some are obvious because they are "hot topics", but some I don't really see why they are and others aren't.

A sticky post is popular subject, will it always remain sticky? probably not because after awhile people lose interest, or we are on to something else more important, until that time it will stay stuck. What ones do you think not need to be stuck? and why?

I was mainly referring to the General Discussion section because there are so many. It's not a big deal. Everyone has different interests on here. I was just curious how certain ones are chosen. You answered most of my questions and I didn't know that the sticky posts will change from time to time-that makes sense. Thanks for the response.

You are welcome! It takes time to weed out the different threads, you have no idea what it looks like from this side, lol all the spam is still posted to us as Mod's, so when you see 3-4 pages or more of listings, we see 30 or more in some instances, wish they would fix this so when we delete something it is really delelted!
