Pet safe plants

I have a cat who eats everything. I would love to have some house plants, but I don't want to hurt my cat. African violets are my favorite, does anyone know if they are safe for cats?

Considering Catlover has not checked back in since April 27, I think your reply is a tad late, for her that is! We have alot of animal (cat) lovers here, so I am sure this will benefit them, thanks for the post! ;)
